上周末去NYC一趟,到了Union Square,想起版主多次提到的Strand Bookstore不就在附
近吗？向一个晒太阳的大叔一打听，沿Broadway走两条街就是.
这里是Broadway和E12街角.后面绿树葱葱的就是Union Square了.再远可以看到帝国大
厦．
书店外屋檐下有不少特价书.书中就有颜如玉.先给mm拍一张.
摄影书在二层的楼角,光线很好,窗口有四把椅子，可以坐定慢慢翻书.
（椅子边有插头，赶紧把用了一半的相机电池插上了.呵呵）
书满满好几架,按摄影师分类.书的种类太多了,
听说过的有,没听说过的更多，几天几夜也看不完.
而且一本书是新的和二手的摆在一起,买不起新的可以买二手的.
新书一般都是一本随便翻,其余在塑料薄膜里包着.
窗户都是打开的,有新鲜的风吹进来．这里窗台上有艾未未的一本,

一个能放的下queen size床的walking-in closet

冬天免费暖气（春季这一学期最重要的就是暖气了〜〜一般的450刀得房

发帖数: 1 | 15 这两天我看了一些关于美国著名流派“垮掉的一代”的一些介绍，产生了浓厚的兴趣，所以在网上搜索有哪些地方有他们留下的痕迹，然后我发现了旧金山市第228号的旅游观光地，也就是经典的City Lights Bookstore。一家书店能成为经典而且还能出版那么多著名的后现代主义文学著作，它的创始人一定是伟大的诗人，那就是美国诗人费林盖蒂和彼得·马丁。
书店创立的时期正是1950中后期，也就是“垮掉的一代”文化运动在美国兴起的时候，而作为激进诗人的费林盖蒂理所当然的受到了影响。他去找到了“垮掉的一代”的代表人物Allen Ginsberg，主动出版他的诗集，并陆续出版了杰克、威廉和尼尔的作品，随着“垮掉的一代”文化运动进入高潮，这家书店也开启了它的辉煌之路。
这家书店直到现在已经成为了城市的经典，它出版了很多先锋文学，除了出版，它还有很多摆放的各类书籍，从楼上看，它专门在二楼设立了“垮掉的一代”的文学作品，还有poetry room，这些无不代表了它的特色，二楼这些诗集的房间还有靠窗的小桌，上面写着have a seat and read a book，这说明你可以在这个静谧的地方慢慢品读诗中的... 阅读全帖 |

第一，学校bookstore都有统一发行的used books， 这些books都是毕业生离校时候，
到bookstore 做return with partial refund的
所以折算起来， $150的教材，这么七倒八扣的，自己的成本费用不了几十块钱，运气
好的，你不在乎书本的折旧程度，能读就行的，30块钱足够。
第二，特别经典的书籍，很多毕业生会带走，人家工作了或者去其他学校继续深造的，
还要再用的，这种case的，不容易拿到used books，教授会指定bookstore做足量的影
印本，就是copybook， 书皮是soft cover的，这个价格在课堂第一节课里会统计学生
名额，而统一公布，成本费很低，通常是$20以内，有时候是$10, 不是那种小size的书
本，就是打印纸的letter sized的。 |

her home in China and bought it directly last year. It was the last set when
I was there and I'm not sure if her bookstore is till in business. Let me
ask her and then I can give you some infomation about her store if she is
still doing that. Maybe you can try some other bookstores in Taobao first? |

关门, 然后穿过bookstore的那幢楼回dorm继续写作业的日子, 想想当年的日子哦, 太苦了, OLIN的70%的沙发基本都被我睡过, 哈哈........之后我索性把书啊, 作业啊, 电脑啊, 吃的啊, 都放在OLIN的LOCKER里, 哪样忘带了可以马上去急救. 想想以前一大早的课, 我基本都是迟到的, 然后课上一口一个酸奶, 一口一个苹果, 再加点坚果, 当时就想着课快快结束, 我好跑去dining hall找吃的了, 哈哈. 以前的dining hall在bookstore那幢楼的地下一层, 后来学生活动中心建好了就搬过去了. 去年回了趟学校, 在bookstore那幢楼里竟然连BOA都找不到了........................

city, paid special attention to the cambridge area.
First time see the Charles River as real. The Memorial Drive along the river
is beautiful, but the river itself is small and short, the water is dark (
