星期坐飞机的时候，自助打印boarding pass上没有priority access，觉得奇怪，遂问
checkin counter，告诉我必须用Citi AA EXE卡买的机票才享受priority access。
是这样规定的吗？我看terms上没有写啊。Terms上还说可以去business class lane办
理checkin,我估计我要真的去了，还是得给赶回去general checkin.大家有没有这方面
的经验？

说得很在理。
这个家长表明姿态的方式和态度是有些欠妥... 不过，似乎board meeting 规定的一位
家长的发言提问时间只有 2 分钟。听一位school board member 讲，很多 member 是
职业政客，school board 只是跳板而已，他们才不关心学校和学生的福祉呢。也有因
为关心孩子教育的 board member， 人数不多就是。
是应该了解和参与；最好的最有效的参与方法，大概是去竞选 school board。 |

很水，办了4年了，还没有IF，Editorial Board只有9人（3印度，2欧洲，1US,其他第
三世界的）。
2个欧洲的水平还凑合。
不知道以后会不会走research这条路。请问接受这样的邀请会影响REPUTATION吗，
Editorial Board除了审稿外还有格外的工作吗？

发帖数: 84 | 12 看中一套coop，什么都准备好了，按照mgmt office关于coop的前期准备好好弄了申请
材料递交了，现在都一个月了，从未接到任何通知，实在等不起就去主动询问，被告知
被board deny了。个人不存在经济或是信用方面的问题，去问mgmt office被告知不会
告诉我deny原因，现在的情况就是我交了申请费就得到一句话，被deny了，也不会安排
interview。Agent和我分析很可能是成交价格太低了，board不愿意影响其它房屋的交
易。
请问版上有coop买卖经验的：
1. 这种被deny了都不通知我的情况正常么？我考古了版上帖子，如果board觉得价格太
低，有的情况是会接到board电话，告知原因之外还给出了参考价格
2.如果价格太低一般都会给参考价格的话，我是不是不是因为价格问题被deny的啊？我
这种情况是否存在其他被deny的可能性？
3. 如果我增加价格，是否还可以再申请一次？还是说我被deny了都不允许我再申请？
4. Agent建议我提高价格，然后卖方再退还我差价的方式进行，但我不知道这样对我的

1。学区采用委员会制度，每个board member都是通过民间选举上任的。Poway学区有五
个委员。有关财政支出预算，工程发包，学区建设，发行债券等重大议题都通过公开会
议中投票表决。这个制度一方面公开透明，方便公众监督。另一方面，在公众不参与的
情况下，无人监督，由于没有上级领导对下监控，很容易造成腐败和政策错误。这是委
员会制度的双刃剑。
所以，我的体会是越是公众参与程度高的学区，质量越好，费用支出越合理，腐败
越少。越是公众参与程度低的学区, 越容易出现经费滥用，教育质量低劣而不受重视，
superintendent出奇高的薪水。 我觉得poway学区公众参与度不高，我参加的这次会
议，旁听者一大半是跟board有关系的人和组织，而独立出席的家长，真的是没几个。
我们知道，poway superintendent的工资是出奇高的。而且去年board meeting稀里糊
涂的通过了一个被加州主计长痛陈为美国历史上最毒的毒债券。这正是poway学区缺乏
公众监督的表现！

的。但是pluto去过很多次boarding了，但这次不一样的是，上周刚送过一次周末，今
天LD又要回国两个礼拜，专门重新找了一家条件更好的boarding,还给狗狗定了VIP
room,希望他两个礼拜待好。这家yelp'review很好的，而且白天是一直在外面玩，不是
关笼子。前天和再前天还送去那里做test,看能不能跟别的狗狗相处。老板说很好。于
是昨天晚上送去的，今天早上在机场就收到老板电话，说Pluto把他拇指咬了一下！说
什么Pluto待在一个地方不愿意挪窝，具体我也不知道。现在他说继续待在可以，但是
不能放出来跟别的狗玩了。我很担心，Pluto平时很胆小很温顺的，更不说咬人了，我
真怕这个老板欺负它了。可是我也不在本地，只能干着急。我们跟一个朋友联系了，希
望她能帮忙看两周，她家还有一只大狗。但是我们也真的不想麻烦人家，毕竟2周时间
太长。我现在也不知道Pluto受到啥打击还是惊吓了。但是我不想让他继续待在现在那

眠/circadian有关，可能就很有机会。我来美国感觉最深一点的就是，这里的行会保护
很厉害，我迄今知道的，只要有个Board，特别是博士以上水准的，怎么每年也能拿到
近10万甚至10多万，而且一般不用担心失业，因为board的管理者自己也是靠这个board
吃饭的，他们会保证新拿到board的人不至于让他们这些老的失业。最近还听说了有放
疗剂量/定位的fellow，做流式细胞仪的bioanalysis fellow都是PhD qualify的。搞不
好咱们生物PhD在美国其实有一片很广阔的天地等待开采。 |

发帖数: 64 | 25 很辛苦啊，老公在做博士后，一边在考兽医的board（这里考这个的也许很少吧），现
在还有最后一步临床要考，可是博士后这里非常demanding，几乎每天下班没有时间再
去想board考试，可是这最后一步又是要求临床的实际操作，感觉非常矛盾。
1、年纪一大把了，真得感觉现在的精力和以前比不如年轻时候了，这个博士后还必须
得做，因为咱中国人要身份，要绿卡要靠发表的paper啊，绿卡申请今年递交吧。另外
老公是家里的主要劳动力，家里要靠他养家糊口。
2、博士后的方向可以说和兽医board是不一样的方向，感觉非常分裂，实验室的老板每
周一个meet，跟催人是得，每到星期一就非常紧张，不弄好报告就被骂，老公对
research没有什么兴趣，所以就在考board了。
3、我在读书，读着一个很沮丧的专业会计，谁让国内我的专业和工作就是会计，不能
挣钱还要花钱，现在经济形势这么不好，毕业了不知道还能找到工作么？
4、这个兽医的board最后一步非常贵，考一次杂费报名费什么的算上就要$6000-$7000
，老公一个好朋友考这一步也考了两次，而且在印度已经做了很多年的兽医临床了。

言难尽,主要是自己对自己没信心,回头想想如果一开始没上RN,也许会考BOARD,现在在
读版上说的鸡肋NP,肯定不会去考BOARD了,我是个胸无大志的人,想有个工作挣钱就行,
谁知BEDSIDE 护士太难干了,体力不行啊有没有,特别有小孩以后,所以只好退其次读NP
了,个人感觉NP有医生背景还是比NURSE好读,特别在国内干过,一些基本的套路在那,如
果我再年轻几岁,我可能会选考BOARD,现在还是不折腾了.让我读麻醉,就等于从新开始
一个新领域,和我以前学的一点也接不上,现在脑子杂事多,也沉不下心学习了,而且要脱
产,虽然出来后收入好,但这两年太难熬了,有读麻醉的恒心就考BOARD了.我周围好几个
国内医学院的在读NP(版上也好几个),不过好多都不是真正临床系的,预防啊,法医啊,检
验,最多的还是国内护理系过来又顺便读NP的. |

It would be easier for people from other IN schools, such as Notre Dame,
Indiana University to have a place to have fun if another Indiana Borad is set

been more than half year that ze never even visited the site.

BRUSSELS—The European Commission isn't backing a proposal by Viviane Reding
, one of its vice presidents, to introduce quotas for women sitting on the
boards of listed companies, Ms. Reding said Tuesday.
The European Union Commissioner for Justice, Citizenship and Fundamental

警察请他出去之前，应该有过不少来回对话了。
而且，board meeting也是要赶时间表的，不能随便让人在下面发言的。
否则话题争议起来，会议就没完没了开不完了。
因为我参加board meeting旁听，作为听众，我很赞成发言要有控制，
因为我也不想会议超时太多。很多point， make了就可以了。发言30分钟
未必比发言5分钟产生更多的效果。因为很多话就是车轱辘来回转，不停得
重复。
我不赞成任何人在参加board meeting时，不被允许的前提下超时发言，
或者在观众席里随意开始发言，那是影响所有与会者的。
每次board meeting, 都有给听众发言的机会。在这个机会里，在规定的时间
里，可以畅所欲言。如果时间不够，可以要求延长。或者可以去联合更多家长，在发言
时间发言。甚至可以在场外游行示威。这都可以接受。 |

most people on this board think and behave.
What do we usually see on this board? At least 2 or 3 people come out

来打算这样应对,大家看看可否.
1. 我不打算对车库做任何变动. 原因一是挪近屋里会大大降低生活空间. 更重要的是,
如果我主动做了变动, 就太包子了. 上次我把公共车位让给邻居,已经提供很大方便给
他了.如果这次再主动退让,就更软弱可欺了. 但是注意不随便开车库门。
2. 对邻居在公共车位停车进行拍照留证据.
3. 和街上其他邻居交流一下, 听听他们的想法. 最好能让他们能作证这位board
member长期侵占公共车位.
以上仅作为备用. 如果不再收到单独针对我们的信, 就stop在这儿.
如果再收到信,如下行动可以采用.
1. 发email给他,cc给property manager. 指出两次单独针对我们的信, 一是为自己谋
公共车位; 二是discriminate us for having small kids. (他离婚再娶, 前妻的孩子
很大了) 因为等我们孩子给他让路等了10秒钟 不高兴了. 目的一是让property
manager知道他的谋私利行为; 二是留书面辩论证据.

小宝宝只能买board book或者布书，所以你就不必纠结其他选项了
另外，只要你逛街时多注意，玩具店/target常常有便宜的board books，3刀以下一本
的。比如那些数数的，认各种动物/家里的东西的，内容都大同小异，拣最便宜的买就
好。
Barns & Noble也时常有打折，比如一套10本小小的board book，原价也就10刀，
打折可能5刀 |
