话题.
一般人对所谓money ball的了解, 可能主要是从Brad Pitt的那部电影和Michael Lewis
的原著里面.
而Paul DePodesta就是Jonah Hill在电影里的那个角色.
这部电影和大部分好莱坞所谓"based on true story"的东西一样, 离true story肯定
是差了十万八千里的.
而Michale Lewis的原著, 我个人对里面的一些说法也不是很信服.
无论是原著还是电影, 都提到两个人, Bradford和Hatteberg, 据说这两个人都属于在
MLB里找不到工作的那种, 能进入Oakland A's的Roster, 依靠的就是"money ball"的
数据分析方法.
原著和电影都把A's在2002年的表现, 在很大程度上归结于Billy Bean和Paul
DePodesta没有follow traditional wisdom, 而是基于"money ball"的数据分析方法,

我发现试试baseball swing对有时候lost swing还是有帮助的。而且发现baseball

州里拿个名词, 以后可以写进resume挣点加分.
不过去年夏天的时候经常带去看local baseball比赛, 小学组的, 儿子们挺能跑, 整场
比赛四处乱跑不待歇的, baseball的教练很看好, 还拿了我联系地址, 今年还没到放假
就打电话过来了.
我现在在考虑要不要退掉中文班, 暑假就去混baseball了.
感觉baseball亚裔还是比较有前途的, 灵活性和手眼协调性都有一定优势. |

发帖数: 1408 | 27 看你想干啥了。美国的小孩体育两种，要是玩玩，随便练练rec league就完了，谁都可
以参加。要真的想搞出点名堂，至少找local的competitive league。一般local会有不
同档次的competitive的球队，要参加它们的tryout,选上才能进入球队。competitive
球队，教练一般至少有license（不过偶觉得水平还是不如偶，哈哈），训练相对正规
，次数多，时间长(我们的soccer和baseball都是一周两次，1个半小时一次）。比赛多
，soccer一个赛季里常规赛，playoff,赛季前夏天和赛季后还有周末的杯赛，至少能打
20-30场。而且玩的孩子水平高，提高也快。当然钱也都要的多，1个soccer赛季11个月
，一个小孩光球队的钱要1千7，8百, baseball时间短，4个月也要5，6百。而且
commitment不得了。夏天的时候，两个球同时打，基本天天训练。偶太太每天早上6点
半就得去上班，下午才能4点回来送他4点半去训练。周末两天基本天天比赛，跟着他到

摸着你明年春天开始，打过两季就会像模像样了。我们老大当初是打了一年酱油，老二
现在第二年了，还在打酱油，但是很明显的，今年打酱油的水平也比去年高了不少。耐
心等他ready, 同时给他试其他的球类，baseball, basketball, flag football...。
老二对棒球的感觉比足球强，篮球根本拒绝打。我们再循环个两三年，就准备多放时间
在棒球上来。棒球的缺点是在大多数小学里没法玩，能玩的是足球和篮球。所以两个当
中要有一个比较好的，好popular. 总之父母一定要耐心，多鼓励，多试。
如果mm 暂时找不到当地的 league, 就去找当地的 ymca 吧，他们总是组织这些 team

我说我要初学一下比赛规则吧, 你们都说我不用这么认真.
结果, 我左边坐着我们部门顶头VP, 右边坐着部门director,

前排一美国老太听见了, 回头用异样的眼光扫我一眼,就象看外星人.

Basketball没关心过。每个community gym这个季节都有儿童篮球课，可以去问问。
让孩子去baseball,主要是因为这个是个团体运动。Basketball也同样。不过华人孩子
的身体通常比较瘦小，打篮球撞不过人。Baseball相对比较好，没有过多的身体碰撞。我们就是让孩子课余去
玩，所以是否专业对我们不重要。 |

He played his entire 15-year baseball career with the Houston Astros. He
also served as the hitting coach for the Houston Astros in 2010. Bagwell
was named the 1991 National League Rookie of the Year and the 1994 National
League Most Valuable Player. Baseball statistician Bill James, in his 2001
edition of the New Historical Baseball Abstract, listed Bagwell as the
fourth best first baseman of all time.

This is to be avoided in baseball swings. a leveled swing
is the best one in baseball, which results in line drives.
the most difficult thing about baseball is hand-eye coordination.
making contact is not an easy thing. you can try with ball machines
to feel it.
