was out, some apartment buildings nearby had a huge party on the street/
parking lot. People just moved everything from the refridgerator to the
party tables, barbecued everything! They said it's better to share with
their neighbors the food that would be tossed out later and have some fun!

早饭牛奶0.5cup，bean soup 1 cup，香蕉一只，共280卡
午饭turkey sandwich半份，酸奶一份，核桃花生米杏仁少量，共650卡
晚饭barbecue去了，burger一个热狗一个，共650卡。。。
全天1580卡，而且没有运动，估计下周又要长了。。。
但是晚饭后称体重还好，还是119，可能会滞后吧。。。
从下周一开始启动新一周期减肥计划！！
目前已把冰箱里高热量食品清空，只要下周不暴就好！ |

羊腿，提前买的，比较大，接近6磅。 做法：解冻后，用打的针筒将配好的调料密密麻
麻打入羊腿的内部，表面也刷上barbecue sauce。入烤箱前腌制一天，开始烤时裹上锡
箔纸，380度，烤60分钟翻面，再烤60分钟，最后去除锡箔纸，每面再烤10分钟上色，出
炉后色香味据全。上桌用刀往下片，看着非常可人。。

个乒乓球桌. 他说花了500块钱买的一个. 不过和我们俱乐部的比起来我觉得他被奸商给
宰了.
他搞这个party其实是为了搞一个tournament,其中一个他的朋友和我labmate是roommat
e,于是我也被邀请参加了.双败淘汰制, 第二轮碰上他, 差点败掉, 17:20落后才缓过劲
来连得5分22:20赢下.
毕竟是洋人, 场地还是斜的:-( 桌面弹性也很烂, 怎么打怎么不对劲.他在败者组里又复
活, 最后决赛和俺又打, 这下我适应了, 21:8解决了战斗.
最后的奖品是一尊耶稣像, 不过我只能拿一年, 明年这个时候要送给任何保证能在一年
后再转送给别人的人, 这是一个他们的传统, 呵呵.
洋人打球以娱乐为主, 30几个人里还夹杂着一条懒洋洋18岁的大黄狗, 一条8个月的
Italian Greyhound,这只狗及其骠悍, 球只要一落地就会跳过去咬, 主人不得不不停的
拉住, 还试图咬我. 没球可咬的时候就去追杀主人的一只跟加菲猫一样胖的花猫. |

这一天没什么项目，就是transit （发现阿根廷人路上交通都叫transport, 水上叫
navigation), 回Calafate. 坐在大巴上回想上次的阿根廷，Buenos Aries 和Iguazu，
那些可爱的阿根廷朋友们, 和一些旅途中的趣事。
2008年底我们抵达Buenos Aries的当晚，LD当地的朋友就来接我们。为欢迎我们他们专
门还搞个Asado. Asado就是老美的barbecue. 我们旅馆定在了市区，人家两个人还专程
跑大老远来接我们，他们工薪阶层一般都住很远的城外（BA城很大，可能就是三环四环
外的概念），要坐火车坐几站。人好热情，就是拉美那种自然的warmth, 当然一见面就
教我们要入乡随俗kiss打招呼。
其实之前也没见过面，就是都在网上做open source的, 和LD一起有过合作. 见了面我

有两个state park，几个lookout，我们去了两次，第一次有雾并且下雨，什么都没看
到；第二次天晴，景色太美了，我觉得是Kauai最美的地方，尤其是Kalalau Lookout和
Puu o Kila Lookout一定要去看，都是开车不需要走路的，Puu o Kila Lookout不能仅
仅在他给你围起来的铁栏杆里看，要往trail方向走大概50米风景更美。
West Coast
Polihale Beach：在Kauai的最西边，沙滩超长，说是有17 mile，旁边就有山，人也超
少，因为要开一段将近5 mile的unpaved road。
North Coast
Kalalau Trail：我们hike了前两迈，感觉一般，之前照片里看到的很开阔的景色没看
到，这条trail要11 mile，要么美景在里面，要么照片太欺骗人了，我建议去夏威夷还
是别hiking了。
Hanalei Bay：还行。
Secret Beach：还行，人很少，沙滩很大，但是有很多杂树枝，沙子没有很细。沙滩上
有很多大块的黑色岩石。

发帖数: 10015 | 32 清迈太垃圾了，除了庙没有什么景点，庙么，都长一个样子，数量倒是很多。多去几个
清迈的寺庙实际上和多去几个西雅图的星巴克没什么本质区别。看一两家就够了。
清迈附近有个泰国最高峰，Doi inthanon，还可以，虽然开过去那么久是有点累。
清迈吃的不怎么样，地方很落后，像样的饭店全是给外国游客准备的，也不怎么好吃。
倒是Alabama pulled pork barbecue这种东西都有。。。没进去吃。问题是在清迈吃好
的泰国菜为啥这么难？？普吉岛虽然也很西化餐厅，但是泰国菜好吃，还有很多海鲜。
清迈街头一景就是泰国外F女和老白男的搭配很多。。不过很多就是妓女吧，好像这么
说也不太算外F？
据说泰国，尤其清迈物价很便宜。其实也就那样，如果你住好点的，和美国也便宜不了
太多，如果住便宜的，经常很坑。吃饭，你点稍微好点的，和中国国内性价比也差不多
，关键是实在东西不好吃。租车也比美国性价比低，大概50美元一天的价格，civic都
有8万公里的里程了，这还是Hertz。
总之，清迈就是个坑 |

吃好。于是自始至终嘴就没闲着。饱了累了，出来走走。70多度，城市上空含混着河水
的腥腻、烘干机的燥涩、虾蟹的鲜香和阴沟的腐败气息。那是一个萎靡、慵懒、颓唐、
暧昧、怡然自得的地方。
Day 1
早饭后备马出发，一路无话，只是中途在Mississippi的Meridian休息半小时。这个
Meridian内战时被美国历史上最大的纵火犯Sherman烧成白地，如今放眼看去，仍旧破
破烂烂，跟刚烧过没什么两样。傍晚抵达New Orleans，夕阳下雾霭蒸腾，车过长桥，

先说第一个老太太，几乎没见过，因为她需要坐轮椅，她很少出门。唯一一次看见她，
是她坐在轮椅上在前院透气，她女儿坐在草地上和她聊天。我们彼此笑了下，打了下招
呼，直觉，她年轻时是很漂亮的一个女人，老来都有那种少见的优雅。
后来就再也没见过，直到后来碰上她女儿（她不上班，在家照顾病号，我们还时不时聊
两句），她告诉我，她妈妈刚死了。我问，什么原因。她说，就是老了吧。说来，这是
这两年她家死的第二个老人，因为和她常年一起住的不光有她妈，还有她妈的妈。她妈
的妈，年龄可想而知，也是个常年的病号，我从来没见过，从来不出门。只记得几年前
一次救护车来，之后几天，这个女儿告诉我，她姥姥死了。
我一直非常佩服这个女儿的老公，能和岳母和岳母的妈妈一起住这么多年。他话很少，
很内向，我个人感觉他过得不快乐，每天上班下班，早出晚归，很少看到，我们碰到只
是简单的hi，how are you什么的。女的一聊起她老公来（他们是高中的sweet heart，
后来结婚的），就很愧疚，说她老公这些年很不容易，她觉得很愧疚，所以他老公每年

我可没乱投医，我领导也没有乱投医，昨天他还把相关的帖子新闻发给了他所有的中国
同事，CC我了，尽管他是强烈反对我过多灌水。我们没有乱投，在sca5面前，政党之争
对我们没有意义。这个共和党候选人是最早公开发声的，我们的钱就是要让那些政客们
知道，就算是一个扶不起的阿斗，只要支持我们，就会得到我们的支持。后面政客不断
发声，不可能和这没有一点关系。
关关有一个论点就是aa 过气了，大家都是瞎折腾。aa 过气到加州居然有政客提出这样
的法案，过气到关于racial profiling的case 就没断过，并且还在讨论？gay
marriage 2004在麻州合法化的时候我那会正好在，新鲜事，现在17个州了吧。一个州
通过了，影响是相当大的。支持aa的人会不断提起，我们的反应不是过激，是太温和了
