那么，这次选举中，华人的表现如何呢？据估算，这次洛杉矶县的投票率只有25%，橙
县30%左右，如果之前有人说的华裔20%，那么相比之下这个比例不算太寒碜。
那么，华人的选票究竟有用没有呢？
事实：
橙县的两个选区，共和党重夺席位，靠的就是亚裔。当然这里边有越南裔韩裔。洛杉矶
主流媒体也都纷纷表示，橙县的这两个翻盘是这次民主党失去super majority的关键原
因，其中主要原因归功共和党开始重视亚裔，并且认同亚裔开始更多关注中产阶级关心
的内容，共和党智库也认为他们终于结束了head scratching，找到了和亚裔的纽带

on ballot pedia.
I actually got a useful hint from the opponent arguments, "On August 5,
2010, a Superior Court judge ruled that Prop 25 did not maintain the
2/3rds requirement to raise taxes, but the Superior Court's decision was
reversed by the California 3rd District Court of Appeals on August 9,
2010, allowing the ballot language to remain intact." It seems the 2/3
majority requirement for tax increase is for real.

Brown stuck to a campaign promise to take all tax increases to the voters (
this was also necessary because it takes a supermajority to pass tax
increases in the legislature).

力中的地位，以及未来艰苦斗争的道路。
之所以我们能在前一阵取得阶段性胜利，一方面是因为华人的适时觉醒和抗争，共和党
包括Bob等的全力反对，以及民主党内部华人政治人物在巨大党派压力下仍然能够向高
层传递反对声音，等等所有这些对我们有利的条件都汇集在一起。
但另一方面我们应该清醒的认识到，民主党选择暂缓SCA5的努力更多是因为它目前还不
是加州民主党最核心的议题，他们不愿意在初选前的关键时刻过份刺激亚裔的神经。但
是，如果广大亚裔看不清这点，以为SCA5已经成为过去时，仍然惯性的投给民主党，使
得他们能够在中期选举后还能保持在两院的super majority，那么SCA5一定会卷土重来
，到时我们的任何努力都无济于事了。所以我们华人反对SCA5的第二战役就是动用一切
我们可以动用的力量，全力在中期选举上狙击民主党，避免他们再次取得一党独大的资

ballot,可以现场计票。
丢失邮寄选票/信封，每收到，也可以去任何county投票站，索取临时（provisional
ballot),也会参与计票！
今年投票的人很少，一票顶多票！大家加油！尽量早去，8点就有可能cut队伍。（这是
grey area,选站可以视情况灵活处理，所以尽量早些！）

Oct 7 or in-person by Oct 28. Once you register, you will receive voter
pamphlet (with bio and info on each candidate) as well as the ballot
sometime in late October. And then you'll send in the ballot with your vote
by mail before Nov 5.

before and will have them again -- but that it's the same mistake, for the
