1. 当了一年专门教课的visiting assistant prof, 对我以后找tenured track
assistant prof有帮助吗?
2. 如果这个学校, 明年就有一个tenured track assistant prof的位置, 我也去申请,
那我有什么优势和劣势吗?

在医学院里，很多是这样的：
postdoc--->research associate (or Staff Scientist)--->Senior scientist (or
instructor)--->research assistant professor
这种情况下，research assistant professor level比较高，pay level 和assistant
professor 差不多,甚至更高.7,8万不算高,10万以上也很正常
但在某些学校,比如UCLA,没有什么instructor 啥的,research assistant professor
几乎等同于research associate, 4万的pay level很正常. |

实的嫌疑。如果面试你会怎么回答，回答no，但是USCIS又查到了你们的名字在一项
public assistance，听说介个回答不一致会导致直接reject。
如果回答485选项和回答是yes，485选项说明说得很清楚，回答yes不一定招致reject。
还是回答yes，然后出具证明你的any public assistance是WIC，它不算是USCIS认为的

Rest of them are literally senior post-docs, you can't even fool the
reviewers at NIH anymore. However, it is still possible to get your own R01
if your idea is significantly different and able to get grants then whoever
hire you as Research Assistant Professor. I know a person jump form RAP,
to assistant, to tenure in 6 years because of 3 RO1s. |

车子是7月才买的Accord 2014，第一次在美国买新车，不知道roadside assistant这个
