今天在网上闲逛，看到一个学校有ONLINE 读 VET ASSISTANT,学费不到两千，学时
240HR.忽然脑子发热想换个工作玩玩，不过我猜想这活挺幸苦的。
先自我介绍一下，我来美国五年，在读护士，很快就毕业了，从毕业到考上执照到找到
工作我想还有一年多时间，这中间总想做点自己喜欢的事。我现在除了读书就是在一家
妇产科诊所当医生的助手，但自己对动物实在喜爱，已经吃素好几年，所以对和动物有
关的行业特别感兴趣。
请大家说说看，有什么好建议。

我先生，最近拿到的两个offer.
software engineer，业界数一数二的大公司，年薪9万外加bonus。大城市。
另一个，中等城市，排名100的州立学校，assistant professor, 9个月8万。暑期得自
己找funding.第一学期给一个TA和一个RA的support.
我觉得还是software engineer好，主要是大公司，将来发展前途大。州立学校压力大
，工资却还少。要是将来拿不到tenure会很被动。还没跟他商量要去哪，想听听各位的

我关心的是哪个对办EB1的绿卡相对更有利，哪个对以后回国更有利。
您是说这两个Title对办绿卡和以后回国没有区别？
我只是疑惑：一开始办手续的秘书告诉我，Research Associate是相当于Technician的
比Assistant Scientist低，但是昨天又说Research Associate是比Assistant
Scientist高而比Associate Scientist低，介于两者间的Title。
另外，Research Associate中文翻译成什么比较合适（考虑到回国找位置）? |

一开始她告诉我，Research Associate是相当于Technician的，而Assistant
Scientist，以后可以升成Associate Scientist，再上去就是Faculty 。但是昨天我看
到打出的广告变成了“Research Associate”就去找她。结果她又说Research
Associate是比Assistant Scientist高而比Associate Scientist低，介于两者间的
Title。
另外，Research Associate中文翻译成什么比较合适（考虑到回国找位置）? |

指的是可以招博士生的正式的faculty吗?
我最近看到一个人在印度读的硕士博士博士后，简历里面连本科都没写。然后来美国辗
转一个地方做了好几年年薄厚，然后md anderson 做了5年instructor。接着又做了4年
assistant professor。。。文章也不怎么样。
而且在德州大学系统里，他的种族写的是american indian/alaska native。 这是在大
学系统里的。 觉得这人非常不靠谱。 |

站上看过，但是基本上都只提到有这个financial aid,大约一半的入学学生会收到（数
额或多或少），但没有细谈评估的标准是怎样的。所以在这里问问：
1）（不是我的情况，但是出于好奇心问问）父母的经济能力会被考虑在内么？觉得法
学院的学生应该都已成年是独立个体，可是如果完全不考虑这项，所有从undergrad毕
业直接上法学院的同学不是基本上都不会有什么积蓄么？这意味着从undergrad直接上
法学院的人会比较被prefer么？
2）一般的来说是看之前若干年的收入，或是现有存款，还是两者皆有？
我目前的计划是在工业界工作一年左右，再申请法学院。法学院的学费/生活费三年下
来在＄15-20万左右，远不是在工业界工作一年可以省下来的。我想问的是这样会使我
在grant assistant的评估中处于一个不有利的地位么（因为曾经工作，有过moderate
的收入）。想想这样三年下来，可能还不如不去工作，既省了时间，在经济上也不输去
工作的情况。
