这种情况不应该买。 原因如下，
1） ER 前,我的保险都cover,包括office visit, blood work, and Ultrasound. My
insurance won't cover ER and ET. ARC pays the part that my insurance doesn'
t cover.
2) 我第一次只有3 个fertilized. So, I have no way to use the Arc's Plus
benefit.
3) though ARC later gave me about $1400 refund, I still feel I'm better off
without ARC.
So, 你要考虑你自己的情况后,在决定是否要买ARC.

看了一圈下来，这三个似乎适合：
vt-70: 4U, 轻便，头重（8)，但是也就比9FL头重一点(9FL 是7)
Arc Saber 5/8 DX: 均衡拍，但是比vt-70 stiff。据说低手还是用vt-70更合适？
Arc Saber 9FL: 很多评价说是适合女性用的拍子，power可能差点？
所以想选vt-70了，但是担心head heavy会伤手腕/肩膀，有没有用过的同学指点一下？ |

A. 直径分布差别太多：
arc-discharge: ～1.5 +- 0.2 nm
HiPco: 0.7-1.3 nm
B. 这直径的差别直接导致了吸收、荧光、拉曼的差别。
吸收：S11/S22/M11位置全然不同，建议阅读Haddon的文章（Hamon et al., JACS,
2001, 123, 11292.)
荧光：激发位置（S22)和发光区（S11)都不同；现在报道的荧光大部分都是HiPco，正
因为其激发和发光的波长都比较短，基本在手头的仪器探测范围内。arc-discharge的
发光区波长太长(excitation centered at ~1800nm)，所以detection technique有限制，几乎没有
报导（不知道哪位见过文章？）。相对来说，laser ablation的管子（直径稍小~1.4
nm）的荧光波长较短，探测技术较为常见，所以也有报道（Lebedkin, et al., JPCB,
2003, 107, 1949.）
拉曼：RBM当然不一样。还有，不同位置激发，由于直径原因，共振的金属管和半导体
管不一样，所以G-band的 |

cover anything for my IVF cycle. So, I bought the ARC one cycle plus
package.
However, later, I found my insurance covered anything before ER. So, I feel
I was stupid I bought the ARC. |

多小时装不上去。这个是不是真的不能用在windows 7 系统上的？去看了amazon 上的
reviews,有的说行，大部份人说不行。我还特意买了个SMK bluetooth 4.0 LE + EDR
Dongle, 想想因该行的，是不是换其它牌子的dongle 会行？如Asus 等。
另外frys 还在减价HP Z5000 的蓝牙鼠，12刀，我也买了两个，一个己经装在电视盒上

至于设备(实验材料)和旅行,这些都比较tricky

如果项目本身很强（申请人背景强加项目有新意或者比较合理成熟）那么你想把钱花在
哪也没人管你，只要符合
rules，这个学校会帮你查，哪些能要哪些不能要
但设备特别是大设备各学校和教育部是有专项拨款的，ARC也资助，但一般都是大教授
联合多校申请，比如天文
望远镜啥的
旅行以前控制很死，现在放开，但由于很多人用他公款旅游甚至和小三去讨论学术以外
的事情，卡得很严的 |

现在的思路是,适合做科研的就给大投入,比如那些fellow,彻底从教学解放出来
DP于是就是给副教授以上的
grant review主要是排名,不是论文审阅,有修订的机会,ARC的评审有模糊性,但也比较
公允,有时是运气差些
如果你的学科不怎么需要经费去维持科研,拿到拿不到也无所谓
名,利,学生,新成果,这些都有关系,但也要淡定吧
