面的公司，还有一个是做building HVAC的consulting firm。两个谈的钱和福利都差不
多。本人是ME的master。
不知道各位对两个行业的前景看法如何？第一个公司做的东西个人比较感兴趣，而第二
个consulting觉得应该也会比较有意思，而且工作时间上比较自由。还有就是最近在找
工作的网站上搜出来不少HVAC方面的工作，不知道是不是这行最近发展的比较好。
现在虽然还没有拿着offer，但由于第二个是一个朋友介绍的，不太好意思像和一般公
司一样先拖一段时间再回复，所以想自己心里先有个底，到时候好给人家回话。

别高。各种grocery也挺贵。总体上来讲确实要高个3，4万才能跟中西部（不包括
Chicago）差不多。
aerospace里面的engineering没啥可前沿的。怎么保守怎么来，里面的engineering都
是老头，中青年的比例较少。而且因为有defense的原因，老中根本吃不开，很受歧视
。估计你这个位子是L6或者L5的级别（越小越高），再往上面混，过个十来年啥的最多
到L4（principal engineer），然后就天花板了。基本上也啥奔头， 就是混退休了。
而且UTC的福利一年比一年差，后面来的人连pension都没有了，混退休都没意思。不用
多久你可能会感觉很压抑，太多的politics和bureaucracy。如果你想学点东西，还是
不错的环境，毕竟人家好几十年沉淀下来的经验，很是很严谨的。

其微。他觉得他们的薪水是偏低的。他的观点，UTC Aerospace 那边受军品影响，效益
一般般，包括现在想把直升机业务拆分出去。这个Fellow倒是说他们这边的业务非常赚
钱。
Carrier的朋友提到了因为保密原因，好多会议开到一半，就让中国人清场了。 |

engineer比commercial的受重视。越老越吃香。Carrier和OTIS都没太大的发展前途，
所以给整合到一起来cut cost。 |
