统强一点,Clinton当年面对金里奇的也有一战之力,Obama几乎被gop牵着打,连累到
10年pelosi失去speaker大位8年之久,让dems在参议院保持了好几年的优势也失掉了。
民主党选民本来就多,按理说投票率甚至不需要比共和党高就能赢,但是这么个选举怪
象,把民主党的优势不是碎片化就是集中化,使得民主党必须调动特定区域的投票热情
才能赢,而且民主党桑德斯带领的极端化现象也把很多温和派弄跑了,obama得背这个锅

糊涂无能,误以为不能立刻加上她,到了open enrollment的时候也肯定可以加。作为
graduate student,如果你选学校的保险而不是另外自选,那你的保险就是group
insurance, 没有medical underwriting,你妻子的pre existing conditions在这种情
况下完全不是问题。
ACA之前只有个人和small group买保险才会受pre existing的限制。基本你是自己没搞
清楚状况,开始自己一人的时候选了外面的plan, 而不是学校的large group plan, 然
后情况变化了又没整明白才会这么费劲。

我同意每个人都应该有保险,右派确实是太冷酷没有同情心,但是左派对自己要求也未
免太低。什么都是别人的错,自己是纯洁无辜的小白兔。
即使在ACA之前,每个州都有实在太sick买不到商业保险由政府补贴的high risk pool
。你当时都有group coverage了,因为你自己的无知或者贪便宜心理而没有cover你老
婆, 所以没有申请成功high risk pool,至少不完全是社会的错。理想状态下,应当是
罚你一笔钱,但是同意off cycle的把你老婆加进你的commercial policy.
