(11-28) 15:46 PST San Francisco -- A suspected jewelry thief with an eye for
high-end goods remained in custody Saturday after San Francisco police say
he tried to steal a valuable diamond ring and a rare Rolex watch from two
Union Square stores on Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the
year.
The suspect, 41-year-old Shiji Chen, was arrested late Friday afternoon and
booked for attempted grand theft, attempted burglary and conspiracy.
