Litter box: just the giant covered litter box from walmart, maybe
less than $16.
litter box liners: Johnny cat Jumbo heavy duty litter box liners, also cheap
if bought from walmart, but they are the strongest liners I've tested so
far. (To be safe, use 2 per litter box). I change liners about once per
three or four weeks when I want to change new litter, that is, just lift the
liner bags and throw them out together with used litter. With liners, you
will never need to wash litter boxes. I do need to scoop out the waste every
day.
Floor mat to protect carpet floor: Just those vinyl floor paper/sheets (not
sure about the accurate English name). Not the adhesive one. Some years ago,
I bought one roll about 8 x 6 square feet, around $25 total from HomeDepot
(it should be much cheaper than those pet mats of similar size). I can put
three or four giant litter boxes on it and leave the broom and dustpan
around in case cats get some litter outside litter boxes.
Litter: precious cat brand from PetSmart, about $17 per 40-lb bag.
