Emmy-winning Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon is lending her celebrity
name and political activism to the effort to repeal Florida's ban on
adoption by gays and lesbians.
The out actress will be at Miami Beach's Shore Club on Saturday to assist
the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida in its campaign to end the ban
, which is the nation's only adoption prohibition that explicitly bars gays
