I knew a very funny thing: one of my friends submitted one paper to CHI (at that time, its page limit is 8, now it is 10 pages), and his paper is about 8.2 pages(means just a little bit on the 9th page). He thought it is not a big deal and
not cut it to keep it complete. Then the second day after CHI deadline,
he got immediate rejection from CHI because the page limit. hehe...
Then he submit to siggraph, it was accepted. :)

发帖数: 474 | 4 I would not say any CHI will will fit into the SIGGRAPH's scope. however, there is a very big overlay between these two conferences. You friend is lucky..

发帖数: 507 | 5 hehe.. yes, but siggraph scope is so ambiguous now.
that's also why more and more "arguable quality" papers appeared in siggraph
proceedings.
