some good story line and good jazz music -- i actually started
looking at my watch 30 min after it started.
not impressed, maybe not bad for as a movie, but def.

the broadway show either, though the music of the show was fine.

i can understand a sorry ass story line, but if it's musical
put some decent music in it, not the cheap crap.

I love Chicago the show for its music and dance, but not the storyline. When I
watched it in the theater in New York, I was sitting among a big group of
junior high students on tour of the city from mid west. Their teachers picked
the show not really knowing what it was all about. By intermission the

musical movies, too much for show off.
dance is not bad, but music is cheap in chicago. not any tone w/
some halves in it is jazz, and those early jazz is pure britney spear
music nowadays.
i watched w/ a bunch of old folks, one lady told me it's her 2nd time
watching it, "oh the music is great! don't u thinkg so?" i almost
couldn't help to tell her straight.

hehe. some really old musicals, like sound of music and sin'ing in
the rain, are good, not in a modern sense though.
too many americans are hypocrat. don't know what genuine arts are.
of course, i don't know either. but i don't praise sth just because
everybody else praises it.

for those who like the music in chicago (the show),
may try 42nd street, i like the songs in it although
the story is plain...
