it's about the same price as a new 335i, which has equivalent performance if
not better and 2 more years free maintanence and warranty and 4 full year f
ree bmw assist service...
you get the idea...

i think you can feel the 0.6 sec difference if speed is your first concern.

touch choice....
startup speed is not my concern at all...5s,6s really doesnt matter to me.

For straight-line driving like 0-60,5-60 or quarter-mile times
maybe they are similar, and 335i might even have a little edge.
But M3 is to a certain extent track-ready and it will easily
leave 335i behind after one circle on track:)
Performance-wise sure the E46 M3 excels, and it always benefit
to buy a 2nd-hand car from private party. And finally, it's an M.
I think the only problem is that after, say, 3-4 years, the E46
M3 will appear old-fash

Now that you have padle shifter on that M3,
it should be equipped with an SMG gearbox
or "sequential manual gearbox" which is similar
to that on an F1 racecar(sure they are not directly
comparable, but same mechanism:P). Either from
shifting time or transmission efficiency it's born
to be superior to the hydraulic automatic tranmission.
As for the paddle shifter themselves, actually it doesn't
matter since both are simply electronic switches that

看来只能回答SEAT的问题，感觉M3的更运一点，感觉包得更紧，如果UPGRADE的话，还可以调节腰部的宽度和背部的弯曲度。。。。。嗯。。。。。

it really depends on how hard you push your car,
but for myself, I think 335i w/ sport pkg is good enough for me.
Also for daily drive when we primarily stay below 3000rpm,
the earlier-boosted turbo-charged 335i will be more suitable.
What a pity i never testdrove an M3, and I'm really not able
to tell the "subjective" difference between the two:)

M3上的S54B32是一台典型的高转数发动机,这台机器的技术含量相当高
很多细节我记不太轻,听我一个大牛师兄讲解过:P
不过无论如何,你如果不推到高转,用来local/hwy commute的话
M3的象征意义高于实际意义:P

据他说每月保费接近300USD,
而且我不确定他是否liability/comprehensive/collision都保了 |
