You would have done well to stop after the first sentence of your response.
Like I said, I will not debate with you the content of your opinion, only
the timing. In fact, there was a presentation on the Republic of Texas, and
there is "common sense" that it is part of the USA. Yet, no one yelled out
that "Texas is not a country" from the audience. Decorum precludes such
expression at inopportune moments.

Mr. ThirdEye,
Thank you very much for sharing your opinion on the culture and decorum.
Let me also make myself clear:
1. I took the expression "Taiwan contry" a intentional malicious offense to
national feeling of students from mainland China. If someone ruined that
presentation, it was not me.
2. If the decorum means to keep silence when someone insults your mom in

I think your American classmate was right on this matter.
We disagree with the Taiwanese, but we should disagree
respectfully.
Shouting a strong political slogan and interrupting other
people's presentation is the last thing you want to do in
a professional setting.
You could certainly make a short statement immediately
after the presentation to express your opinion if you
so desire. But never try to force other people to accept
your idea--that is not a decent thing to do for any
