怎么edith wharton这么受欢迎呢
我以前喜欢过她又不喜欢了。她写的吧，是那种四平八稳的细腻，实打实的，不出
采。
谭恩美不错，幽默明快，是完全美国化的吧。她笔下的ABC真实形象，第一代移民显
得有点偏与虚幻，写在中国的中国人，更偏了。有时觉得她也只是利用华人故事的
material，顺手还抖些阴阳风水，其实对中国并没有很深了解的。
emily dickinson我喜欢。这样子的人，生活与她是条河，她只待在岸上，从不涉水，
鞋子都不湿，却对生命与自然有慧黠的断语。想起了lewis carrol，拘谨的要命，
长长的一生，其实都是withdrawn from life，可艾丽丝漫游仙境里许多出其不意的
对life的聪明见识。
kate chopin 也好。以前和peutetre说起过。清朗，写实，诗化，正是我很喜欢的

hehe they can be sophisticated upon a piece of narrow yet timeless material
