如今随手可以拍照
主角却无法现身
过年的时候
妈妈说是您的生日
我的兴趣却是放鞭炮
从未说过
我爱您
您将奶奶做的粗蓝布棉被
伴随终生
您为我选制的西装领带
随我远行
写出这些文字
不是为了忘却
而是您的爱
如同灯塔
照亮我前行的路途
In Memory of My Father
Today is your eighty-fifth birthday.
I flip through a family photo album
and see that the photos that shows us all together
were taken only on my birthdays.
Of course, if you were here today,
we could take a photo anytime;
but you are gone.
At Festival time
Mother told me it was your birthday;
But I only wanted to set off the fireworks.
I never said, “I love you.”
You kept the quilt Grandma made
for all those years;
I wear the suit you chose for me,
I keep the tie you knotted for me,
To travel anywhere
I write these words
so as not to forget you.
Your love is a like a lighthouse
