I tried to follow the PLR youtube videos a couple of times, but I haven't
gone too far in that. I used to see a scene that's fun but also shocking.
As with many therapeutic approaches, remembering things, either childhood
memories or past life memories, are ways for people to understand themselves
, to know why they have a particular thought or habit, etc. The key is to
release and let go of those. Once heard or understood, those thoughts or
patterns will lose their power.
Or, if one can learn to release without even figuring out the cause, that's
also fine, and it works for many people as well.

she is more than 80 years old now. She had a very bad childhood to be
beaten and raped by her stepfather, but she has outgrown all of those.

"道理"才是有意义的, 至少对于个人修为来说.
至于说到精神(或者"灵魂")的轮回, 不是什么一定要讲不可的问题. 只是说, 精神的现
象是一个开放的问题, 就象所有科学实证的问题都是开放的一个道理. 如果上面这些研
究人员提供的不是伪造, 或者他人伪造的证据, 就是客观的, 有开创意义的. 我猜没有
人能够真正知道以后两百年的世界会发生什么, 就象两百多年前, 没有人真正懂得有一
种肉眼看不见的电磁波, 让世界各处的通讯交流这么瞬间可及, 但现在电磁波的"存在"
大家随处可以"实证"(比如说, 手机).
所以, 物质材料的轮回是关于轮回一种可能的理解, 但远没有证伪其他的可能性. 这是
一个开放的问题.

别人可以问我“你信不信TS已经结婚10多年了”，我说，我听她说的，我基本相信。
但是别人不可问你“Truestory, 你信不信你已经结婚十多年了”。这样问就疯狂了。
对于亲自经历的人，是无所谓信的。
从这点上说，“信”，本身就代表着还没有亲自验证。
这是第一步，
第二步，在宗教里的信，还要引导出愿和行，才叫真信。
这个真信其实还是没有验证，只不过说，你心里已经认定这个事情“值得”去验证，
值得花费精力去验证。既然愿意花费精力去验证，就说明这时你反而是没有把它当成“
确信”。
没有把它当成“已经落实的”东西。
所以这点上说，“正信”非信。
只有邪信的人，才会把“信”当成已经落实的东西，而不去验证。
所以口谈佛法，而不去实际验证的人，其实是邪信。
所以，说很多法师是迷信人，道理在此。

然后说我个人的道理。
主要在于
1. 我相信人不死，(这还有些别的证据，不过比较个人化）
2. 不死的人只是转换（选择）生存形态。（听不少师兄师姐谈到一些）
（再者佛教和基督教背景的人到处都说这些，也是听多了）
3. 转换形态的过程其实是投胎。
4. 一个人选择什么形态，和他的习惯（或积累的业力）有关，如果有六道，可能就投身
六道中一道。
5. 你说的地狱是虚假的，我也同意。这是不同层次，因为一切唯心造。
地狱天堂也不过是“心”造出来的。
6. 但是地狱的真实性和地球的真实性是等同的，因为地球也是“心”的显现。
所以如果不能摆脱这个世界的虚幻性，那么也就不能摆脱地狱的虚幻性。
从这个意义上说，地狱也是真实的。

说到实证, 我完全同意. 从个人自己的修行来说, 甚至可能就足够了; 但从"客观"的角
度来说, 别人怎么知道你个人体验的真实性呢? 比如说, 精神病人说的也可能象真的.
怎么区分呢? 所以可重复的, 可证伪的, 外部实证证据也很重要. 这些也属于直接证据
. 一楼里列的研究工作是朝这个方向做的, 虽然现在还远不够充分, 还可能不够严谨.
另外间接证据, 象尼泊尔的那个divine boy的某些记录, 应该可以属于这类.

补充一点更正，
我说的真实性是等同的,不是很准确,目前也没有亲自验证,只是自我理解唯识宗的道理。
从佛经上说，好像是有说，即使一切唯心造，都是幻觉，其幻起的坚固程度也不一样。
物理世界的坚固程度是最深的。
楞严经上说：“经云：汝现色身，名为坚固第一妄想。”，就是说
在五蕴（色受想行识）当中，我们的身体，是最坚固,最难破除的妄想。
（不过事情到这里,我基本是听说,并进而倾向于认定其合理。所以只是share一下知识）
但好在人们并不需要一下子就相信很多才能前进。
我觉得活在当下就是最好的方法，因为每一次克服当下的迷惑，就往前进一步。
所有的迷惑都一步一步克服了，究竟真实自然现前。
所以我也谢谢你分享The power of now.
