We can’t lie. It tickles us down there whenever anyone who tries to teach
us moral values is caught with his pants down, literally and figuratively.
The latest news to fall on our gossip desk is the arrest last night of 33-
year-old Matthew Preston Clark, a pastor at Blessed Assurance Temple in Polk
County, Florida. (Insert oh-so-appropriate Polk/Poke joke here). So what
landed this pastor in the jailhouse?
According to towleroad.com Clark was among the four men arrested for
soliciting other men during an undercover operation by the Polk County
Sheriff’s Department at Peace River Park. We just have to ask – people
still have sex in parks? Don’t they have Grindr and a Motel 6, even in
Florida?
Sheriff Grady Judd released a statement saying, "It never ceases to amaze me
when professionals such as preachers and law enforcement officers are
engaged in such outrageous behavior. That type of behavior is not going to
be tolerated in our parks. We want to ensure that all of our parks are safe
for children and their families to enjoy.” Maybe not so much the children,
but some of the family members seemed to be reaping the enjoyment.
While a good putting-the-preacher-in-his-place is great for the gay soul,
would the po-po be all no-no if it were a straight couple exhibiting a
little BJ action in whatever the lovers' lane is in Poke County…er…Polk
County?
