发帖数: 4125 | 2 Not sure about fairfax county, but if you are willing to drive 1 hour west
on 66, you can reach skyline drive. That is the best place to see the fall
colors. Excellent paved road entire length, no need to walk or climb.
Here is a tip, do not stop at the first few look out from the entrance, they
are usually very busy and view is not any better. Pass them and you will
find many good viewing spot along the way.

walking or climbing to enjoy the place. So not a good choice if you have old
or young people with you, more or less a park and walk place (unless you
only want a short visit)
One cool feature about this place: You can ride the train from Union Station
in DC to reach here. So if you live in DC and does not have a car, this
could be the perfect place for you to visit.
