VO told me that it would take 3 weeks, and asked me to go to the post office
to pick up my visa when it is done. I am wondering if I can contact the
Beijing consulate to consult the status of my visa. I couldn't find any
email on their website, and the phone number they provide is the paid phone
line for booking the visa interview. I wonder what do people do when they
are waiting for their visa clearance. Thanks a lot! |

Your application is undergoing the administrative processing. Please be
noted that this processing usually lasts 4-6 weeks and sometimes may require
even longer time depending on each individual case and this processing
cannot be accelerated under any circumstance. We cannot issue you a visa
until this processing is completed. Please be advised not to purchase the
air tickets until visa issuance.
