insight on this issue.
I start my first US job in Aug’2007 and the first H1B start date on Oct 1,
2007. After that I changed my job in Feb’2009 (1.5 years after the start
date of my first H1B visa). For the new (current employer), I’ve got 3
years of H1B visa which needs to renew in this Feb’2012.
Here are my questions:
1, How long of an H1B visa I’ll get out of this H1B renewal?
2, If I change a job right now, what will happen to my H1B visa after I
transfer it?
3, Is that true that the H1B visa will last in total 6 years (3 years + 3
years of renewal) and after that if your green card reach the 485 status,
you can just renew it yearly? | f******9

2. probably an extension of 1.5 years
3. H-1B can be extended beyond the 6th year if PERM/I-140 has been filed for
more than 365 days or I-140 has been approved.
