"#ssh host" will automatically set DISPLAY hostname:0.0 for
you.

If you really want to share sound over the network,
you might
look into downloading Icecast <http://www.icecast.org> and
the XMMS
LiveIce plugin
<http://star.arm.ac.uk/~spm/software/liveice-xmms.tar.gz>.

to the Icecast server, which then streams the sound to any

还是icecast organization有一个公共的server?
是前者的话,要怎么才能把sun station设置为server呢?

sorry, I never tried that. but as to my understand, you will set up a
broadcast server on one of your station, the client ends can listen to
it via XMMS (winamp ported to Unix box) and any software that supports
streaming. SuperDecoder2000 (for windows box) can also work as icecase
server.
I am not sure how you need to share the audio. But if you are
running a windowsNT/2k terminal sever, you may run as client with
a third-party Citrix ICA client to drive the local sound card on
windows/unix
