minute to hear your thoughts on this particular question. And, keep in mind

Do you, as a legal professional with profound knowledge and experiences on
how laws affect Americans' lives, agree or disagree with the stand that my
learned colleague, His Honorable Mr. Mitch McConell from Kentucky, took a
few years back that no Supreme Court justice should be nominated in an
election year? And I quote: "The American people should have a voice in the
selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy
should not be filled until we have a new president". Do you agree with his
point of view?

个讥我小儿科的。。。
一、她是被质询人,不宜/不应反问。那年 Kavanaugh did just that and was
construed as arrogant and partisan.
二、议员如何不是这质询的重点,她要敢如此反问只会凸显她连重点都抓不到。
三、主楼的问题是个 open question,你的所谓反问是个已经预设立场的假问题,她怎
么可以就假设议员一定是确认奥巴马的大法官?历史上不是没有例外。
四、就算人家会确认奥巴马提名的大法官,与 Barret 是否同意 McConnell 的立场,
逻辑上有什么关联性?可比性?这个反问只是凸显她的推理思考逻辑跟糟糕,根本不配
当判案法官。

have an independent view of an issue instead of worrying whether or not
that aligns with an opinion from the congress. For this issue, I agree more
with Justice Ginsburg that a president is elected for fours years, not three
years, thus this nomination is not unconstitutional.

Not unconstitutional, we know that; it's not illegal, we have long
recognized that. But do you, as an individual American citizen, think that
it would be better if American people were given the chance to have a voice
in the selection of the next Supreme Court justice after the new president
is elected?

senator, american people have the voice right now, and they always have the
chance to have a voice, because they elected president every four years,
and elected senators every six years, which would decide if i will join the
supreme court. when they casted their votes, they understood the length of
the terms. and we should respect the choice that american people have made.
