out. I work a block from the attack and idk, the thought of a terrorist
attack happening a city block from you is overwhelming as fuck. I’m not
saying I’m so scared that I’m ready to leave or that I’m worried about
the downfall of western society, I’m just saying - watching it all unfold
in front of me WAS frightening. Disclaimer tho - I’m from the Midwest and
moved from DC to NYC last year. So I’m new. I also don’t claim to speak
for all New Yorkers - just one nearby person’s experience.
Edit: also yes to carts and falafel and fuck anyone who thinks this is an
excuse to hate people who look or worship differently. My favorite part of
this city is its tolerance and I never want that to change. |
