With all the anti-gun media hype, it looks like one man in Connecticut has
bought into the gun-phobia that if you see a person with a gun he must be
evil.
According to the Hartford Courant, a man in a Glastonbury TD bank became
alarmed when he saw a man carrying a gun. The gun owner was carrying
legally and was NOT acting in a threatening or suspicious way according to
police. But he had a gun. So he must be up to no good, right?
Robert Gursky, 50, was at the bank to make a business transaction when he
saw the gun owner and began to freak out. He tried to tell the bank teller
what he saw.
The bank staff became alarmed over the incident and began to go through
their robbery protocol and called police. When police figured out that the
guy with the gun was carrying it legally they tracked down Gursky and
charged him with breach of peace, since they couldn’t charge him with
stupidity or ignorance of what it means to be a responsible gun owner.
Gursky is due to show up in court on September 25th. He had no comments for
the news media yesterday, but you almost feel bad for the guy. I mean he
is just doing what the anti-gun news media wants every one to do: freak out
when you see anyone with a gun. Good for the cops that they went after the
guy trying to report a law abiding gun owner instead of the gun owner in
this case. |
