is a big trend in the United States for natural gas to replace coal, even as
the base load he is talking about. It may have something to do with
regulation making coal more expensive,. The real reason is shale gas, which
has produced enormous amount of natural gas and depressed natural gas prices
so much that it is actually more economical to use gas as part of the base
load. Some people from coal country still have their heads in the sand and
don't want to acknowledge this or they want to a little more time to deal
with it, but Gary Cohn is not wrong
