tagging Washington Post owner and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
"This is a criminal act. Disgusting what some media has become. @JeffBezos."
The article originally referred to the act of vandalism as a "daring act of
defiance," though it has since been updated by The Post.
An editor's note at the top of the piece says the "beginning of this story
was changed to more accurately reflect the nature of the actions taken by a
protest group against the Trump golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif."
The beginning of the article now reads: "A group of environmental activists
pulled off an elaborate act of vandalism at one of President Trump’s
premier golf courses early Sunday morning."
A group calling itself an “anonymous environmental activist collective”
carved a giant message into the course's green, spelling out "No more tigers
. No more woods." in six-foot letters, the Post said.
The group that committed the act told the Post they carried out the
vandalism because of the Trump administration's "blatant disregard" for the
environment.
“In response to the president’s recent decision to gut our existing
protection policies, direct action was conceived and executed on the green
of his California golf course in the form of a simple message: NO MORE
TIGERS. NO MORE WOODS,” the statement said. | i**********k
