Obama “Has Failed Us”
by Jammie
Pretty harsh stuff coming from a Democrat running for the late Bill Young’s
seat in Florida.
Despite a looming Republican primary on Jan. 14, the national GOP
continues to turn up the heat on former state CFO Alex Sink, the Democratic
candidate running in the special election for the congressional seat vacated
by the death of U.S. Rep. Bill Young, R-Fla. But, on Monday, Sink’s team
vowed to “stay on offense.”
At a candidate forum on Friday night, Sink called the launch of
President Barack Obama’s federal health-care law a “disaster” and
insisted the Obama administration “has failed us.” Despite those harsh
words, Sink insisted “Americans deserve the right to health insurance and
affordable health care.”
That wasn’t enough for the National Republican Congressional Committee
(NRCC) which took aim at Sink on Saturday.
“Alex Sink’s refusal to address the real issues with Obamacare is
appalling,” insisted Katie Prill, a spokeswoman for the NRCC. “The fact
that 300,000 Floridians have lost their health care plans, are forced to pay
more in premiums and deductibles, all while losing their doctors, is
exactly what Obamacare was intended to do. Alex Sink needs to stop with the
political spin and just tell Floridians the truth — she supported the law
when it was passed, she supports it now, and she won’t stop supporting it
if elected.”
So you would think by offending their Dear Leader Democrats would be
hammering Sink, right? Nope. Get this from the mailbag:
Republicans have held Florida’s 13th district for fifty-eight straight
years. FIFTY-EIGHT YEARS!!!
But here’s the thing: we have a fantastic opportunity to win this House
seat in a special election with Democratic candidate Alex Sink.
If Alex can pull off a win in Florida’s 13th district, it could
devastate Boehner’s hopes of holding on to his Tea Party majority. But it’
s going to be an uphill battle.
One of Alex’s Republican opponents, Washington lobbyist David Jolly
, already has $100,000 in the bank.
A SECOND right-wing opponent just officially announced her campaign
against Alex.
The entire Republican establishment is working around the clock to
beat Alex — and they just launched a new round of paid, misleading attacks
trying to smear Alex’s record.
Weird how there’s no mention of her comments about the Dear Leader, huh?
And they continue with the laughable linking of John Boehner and the so-
called Tea Party majority. Do they possess even the slightest bit of self-
awareness? | j****3 发帖数: 579 | | T*********I 发帖数: 10729 | 3 那一开始就反对obamacare的人,比如Romney,和其他的共和党,是否应该deserve更大
