这个根本不是random sample, 有 self-selection bias. 实际上poll很少有超过1000
人的. error margin在1000人时就到3%, 再大的sample也没什么意思而且成本高. 几千
几万人的poll基本上都是self selected, 大多可以当笑话看.

It depends on how you do the poll. If Foxnew has a web poll, no matter how
many samples there are, it does not mean anything because the samples (
people who go to the Foxnew website) are mostly republicans (not random). To
get a meaningful poll, you need to have true random samples, which is much
more costly to get than just putting something on the web. So real unbiased
polls rarely go beyond a few hundreds to a few thousand people. Polls with
more than 10000 samples are mostly biased due to the polling method.
