I just read a web page on a site of an organization that represents public
workers. On that page this statement is made: "It's time for politicians to
create jobs instead of playing politics."
If I were in that organization, I would seriously consider getting out. That
statement is a common one that is parroted, primarily by liberals, across
America.
Here's the reality. If you've been around any time at all and paid any
attention to how American government works, that statement above is about as
stupid as can be made about politicians. Politicians do not create jobs.
The only politicians that create jobs are the ones who own businesses and
hire people. But collectively, other than government employment, politicians
are not the ones who create jobs. Business owners create jobs.
Politicians collectively implement legislation that can enhance or inhibit
job creation in the private and corporate sector. But create? Not in this
world.
This is why there is so much frustration surrounding elections by those who
actually pay attention to the reality of government and the private sector.
Because it's the politician that can win over the starry eyed personality
gushers that win elections. And if they can get elected by claiming to be "
creators", then you can bet they will.
The worst part about that nonsense is that it becomes part of the ignorant
and liberal (who ignore facts and reason) mindset and speech. Then if it can
be successfully piped into enough unthinking people, it becomes the ammo by
which elections are won.
If you want to be an effective American, you don't have to enter into a
bunch of fringe drivel about the government and conspiracies. You just have
to get a fundamental understanding of how the U.S. government works and the
reality of what politicians say and do. Then on that basis, vote. Because we
get what we vote for.
And in spite of all the noise to the contrary, that's still the way America
works. |
