Hurrying to Haiti

There’s still not much information coming out of Haiti, where a magnitude-7
.0 earthquake—the worst in the region’s history—struck today at about 5 p
.m. local time. Communication with our office in Port-au-Prince, the capital
, has been limited, but we do know that none of the World Vision staff
members in Haiti were hurt or killed, although the homes of at least three
were damaged.

the Dominican Republic. He will travel to Port-au-Prince tomorrow morning by

Whatever you can do
Carolyn Kruger, a health specialist for World Vision, arrived in Haiti on
the day of the earthquake and had barely cleared Port-au-Prince when the
