发帖数: 792 | 1 心血来潮订了Norwegian Pride of America号的cruise，honolulu出发，7 nights，2
days per island，另外准备在oahu待３天。没什么头绪，求建议啦。总的来说不喜欢
沙滩上晒太阳，喜欢hiking，喜欢snorkel看鱼看海龟，喜欢看风景。
具体行程如下：
day１－day２： cruise是sat－sat，我们会在前一天下午到honolulu，住wakiki，第
二天上船之前有时间想去珍珠港或者爬diamond head在附近看看 － 我想问问这一天建
议租车么？好象honolulu公交比较发达，从机场到wakiki和去cruise port方便么？去
pearl harbor或者diamond head可能么？
day３－day４：maui 两天时间
打算租车，传说有shuttle从cruise port到机场租车，free的，什么公司的都能坐可靠
否？晚上停车有没有推荐？对road to hana比较犹豫，听说要一整天，担心时间不够。
如果不去的话有没有别的推荐？比如好的snorkel或者hike，那个haleakala national
park和lao valley state park值得去的么？主要看什么？
day５－day６：大岛，一天hilo一天kona
同样租车，hilo打算去vocano national park，但是下午６点要上船，是不是看不到
lava了？有人说晚上船从hilo往kona开的路上能看到lava，现在还有没有？
kona貌似snorkel很不错，大家有推荐么？希望能看到海龟。离port近的话是不是不用
租车？除了snorkel还有什么别的推荐？
day７－day８：kauai 1.5 days
打算第一天租车逛逛，第二天中午就要走所以倾向于port 附近活动。完全没有概念，
希望大家推荐行程。时间很少，所以希望适合走马观花型的，有简单的hike也请推荐
day９－day１１： oahu
有三个白天，打算去pearl harbor（如果之前没去成），恐龙弯，环岛游，再选几个
hike，大家请推荐hike！暂时不打算去pcc，但是还没最后决定。
另外，从honolulu的cruise port到机场也有免费的租车公司shuttle么？是不是什么公
司的都能坐？要几点下船才能赶上？
第一次去hawaii打算一网打尽，看个大概，以后在各个攻破。不过还是希望能optimize

day５－day６：大岛好象现在岩浆又停流了。不过确实是要晚上去看入海才有气势。不
过你反正在HILO要停一天，那边除了火山公园，其他都是些零碎的小瀑布景点，还是去
火山公园吧。SNORKLE强烈推荐COOK MONUMENT，SO FAR MY FAVORITE SITE。现在好象
只能跟团去了，不能自己KAYAK过去。这里离KONA不算远。你再忘高速HILO方向开，有
一个黑沙滩，这里没啥别的好看，就是海龟贼多，不用下水，海滩上都是一对对的。
day７－day８：如果楼主喜欢HIKING，那个NAPALI COAST的TRAIL必须要走的，风景极
美，就是很难爬，而且到处是泥，准备一双可以仍掉的鞋吧。你也可以KAYAK看NAPALI
COAST，或者做船。KAYAK是一整天，很累，最后会发你一个证书。如果受不了KAYAK那
么长的，可以RIVER KAYAK去看猪罗记的一个瀑布。然后岛的另外一边有WAIMEA CANYON
，有点大峡谷的感觉。这个如果去要花大半天吧。我们上次去全都被雾包起来了，什么
也没看成，坑爹啊。你看天气好再去吧，KAUAI经常下雨的说，瀑布到处都是啊。KAUAI
是最美的一个岛了，值得多花点时间好好享受的。这是我唯一一个只去过一次的岛，下
次去就是她了。
day９－day１１：去KAUAI HIKE了，楼主，不需要在OAHU HIKING了吧。好浪费时间。
CRUISE去租车的问题，你问问NORWEIGEN不就知道了吗？再HAWAII坐CRUISE的人不多的
，据说吃和服务很不怎样啊，楼主不要期望太高就好。 |

发帖数: 267 | 7 Cook monument is THE best for snorkling. I rank it #1 in Hawaii. It's a bit
hard to get to but it's totally worth it. Two years ago, we kayaked to the
site and there were a group of dolphins swimming with us on our way there.
The monument is surrounded by rocks and underwater it looks like a fish bowl
. Tons of fish. If you don't want to kayak, you can reserve a boat tour to
get there too. Hiking there is too long so I don't recommend it.
I never heard of two steps but there is a site near the historical Poohohua
Honaunau park. It's very easy to get to and you probably can see some
turtles there too. A lot of fish too but sometimes the wave is rough. On you
way there, you can stop by the painted church. It's a small church but the
garden is pretty.

，而且你从port开过去也要半个小时吧。

查了tour，都是早上7-8am出发，从kaihului开车过去还要半小时，我担心赶不上啊。
很多船还停一个turtle town，我想看turtle,还是很动心的，但是如果不跟tour自己找
beach snorkel也能看可能就不参tour了

Sheraton in Kalapani to snorkel and there are more fish guaranteed. If you
do plan to snorkle at Cook monument, I think you can pass other sites if you
want. |

发帖数: 429 | 14 We just went to HI on Pride of Am in July.
Here is what we did:
Oahu(2 days): rent a car, Snorkel at Hanauma Bay, drive to North Shore,
diamond head. didn't make to Pearl Harbor, out of time for us.
maui: rent a car, Iao Valley, Kaanapoli beach, Lahaina beach. We also went
to Maui Ocean Center (not worth the time and money, too small.) you can book
a luau through cruise if you don't want to rent a car or book your own if
you have car. We didn't do road to Hana, too long for kids.
Hilo: either go with tour with cruise or rent a car and explore Volcano
National Park. We rented a car, but time is very very tight on land. you
have to get off ship as soon as possible. We drive to the end of the road at
the park, but didn't have time to walk to the end to see Lava. But we have
kids in the group, so we move a little slower too. Other option is to do a
helicoptor ride. the cruise ship will pass by the Lava entry point at night
around 9:30 or 10 (I think on the right of the ship). very good view. find
a good spot to watch 30 min ahead of time.
Kona: only place we didn't get car. rental car is hard to get here. we got
a shuttle at pier, charge by person, to go to Kahaluu Beach park and
snorkled there for the day. There are buses and trolly go there too.
highly recommend this park for snorkling. Lots of fish and a few turtles.
Kauai: rented a car for the 1st day (no where to park the car overnight)
drove to Waimea Canyon/Kokee state park/Sprouting Horm. other option is to
drive to North Shore.. so depend on your interest.
Kauai day 2: we did an air tour, not helicopter.. but the airplane made all
passengers feel dizzy/sick afterwards, not recommended. The view is
fantanstic though. this afternoon, the ship will pass by the Napli coast,
the view can't be missed. I think you go to the left of the ship for this
one.
I went recommend do helicopter either Hilo or Kauai if you really want to
try one.
you really have to move quickly and return to ship early. time on land is
very limited.

rental car will take around 30 min each morning, mainly because you have to
take a shuttle to the rental car parking.
I think for Hilo, you really want to leave ship early, the shuttle vans they
use are very small at the port, so it only take a few ppl at a time. we
had to wait for a while there. we didn't get our car until 10 that day and
drove straight to Volcano National park.

expensive, especially at Kona...
30 min to get car is actually better than what I expected. Were you able to

发帖数: 429 | 18 you don't have time to get a car on Kona. Port to airport is about 30 min
driving. So no rental car company wants to go pick up and drop off. I
think there is only one rental car company near by but very expensive. Also
Kona is a tender port means that you have to take a small boat to pier, not
just walk off. So time is very unpredictable.

the two of us at the same price! I am so excited right now.
Did you guys fly early morning? they have 9:30am or 11am for me to choose.
Na Pali coast is facing west so 11am should have better lighting for that,
but I am thinking 9:30 might have clearer sky. Hard to decide:)

发帖数: 429 | 23 we did 10am flight. I think 11 is better. There is a short walk from ship
to pickup location. so you don't have to rush in the morning. Just need to
make sure to get back to ship one hour ahead.
We hang around the beach next to pier after the flight for a little. |

发帖数: 493 | 24 Just came back from Big Island yesterday, my two cents about snorkeling in
Kona:
-Captain Cook Monument: you need permit to land, meaning group tour. Or you
can kayak to area close by but do snorkeling with rope attached to the boat.
Plus, need skills to jump in and out of the boat. Not quite enjoyable to me
...
-Honaunau Bay, a.k.a. two step: easy to access and lots of lives. But be
careful with urchin, you need fins or water shoes.
-Kahalulu beach park: lots of fishes and turtles! I mean really a lot! If
you are not comfortable with deep water (e.g., the two places I mentioned
above), this is really a good place to go. It has lifeguards too.

发帖数: 493 | 25 About hiking in Oahu, we did Kuliouou Ridge Trail.It is about 5 miles round
trip, takes about 2.5-3 hours. Various plants and beautiful scenery on top.
Definitely no PCC!!! Save the money for others!

For the kona snorkeling spots, do all 3 spots you mentioned have coral reefs
? Or only captain cook?

easier to access, some of reefs are destroyed. You will learn more if you
visit Hanauma Bay in Oahu first.

that day. if you want to go with a tour for snorkle, it's better to book
with the cruise. If anything happens to delay you get off the ship, cruise
can give you a refund and they make sure you can get back to the ship.
If you book with a 3rd party vendor, it's cheaper but no guarantee on time.
I would just do Kahaluu beach on Kona. you don't even need to try to see
turtle or fish. There are just everywhere. You have almost 2 days on Maui,
maybe you can do a tour to Molokoni? I heard it's a good spot too.
Hanauma bay (Oahu) doesn't have as many fish as other islands. You would be
disappointed if you go there after the cruise. So go there before cruise
to get you started since it is very calm. Scenery is fantastic. My advise
to go go to the left of this beach. there are more fish there. We started
on the right, but didn't really see much. Left side has much more.

Anyway, I will aim to get a car. And who knows... If weather projects to be
good the day before, I may just opt in the captain zodiac tour to cook
monument. I generally dislike any tours, but this one there is no other
option:(

份文件么？我觉得因为是国内的船，驾照就够了，可是刚才网上check in问了国籍，还
说要proof of citizenship，难道还得带护照签证啥的？谢谢：）
