There are 6 day-one sessions， and re-entry allowed. Top 12% of each
sessions get paid, and top 4% advance to day 2. I played two sessions.
First (200 entrants): I was in the money. 5 players away from day 2. I had
average chip stack (around 18 BBs), a tight player open-raised 3 BBs from
late position. I was on the button shoved with AQ suited. He called with 77.
Board came AJ7XX, busted out. I was thinking of folding or flat-calling.
Second (260 entrants): In the money again, 3 players away from day 2. I had
a little bit less than average chip stack again (around 15 BBs). Big blind (
loose aggressive; call
short-stack shove with crappy hands) had a huge stack.Folded around to my
small blind (KT suited), and I shoved. He tanked for about five minutes and
finally called with KQ. My thoughts here was that he might call with two
bad cards and I was looking for a double-up to have more chips to play day 2
. Board came T75AJ......suck....re-suck........
I think I might have some edge at this level. It's not that difficult for me
to make into the money, but it seems like I can't take down big scores
either (bottle neck.......).
What are your thoughts on these two plays. I should wait for a better pot? I
am really frustrated........

tourney is not like cash games. you have to get lucky at least once or twice
to make money. standard race situation is everywhere.

Just gave another short. I UTG open-raised 3.5 BBs with KK. Button called,
and SB(short-stack) shoved with JJ. I re-shoved, and the button who had
about 22 BBs called my 25-BB shove with TT. He rivered a T, and I severely
crippled. "In which planet" would he think his TT was ahead? Why played like
a 3 buy-in or freeroll tournament???
Bad beats were all over the place. My JJ
Today QQ < Q9 (two 9s on the board)at my table. The most wired hand I saw
was a three-way all in (AT, AQ, AA; two short-stacks) ending up with
chopping.
MTT is dumb.... LOL.......

important in MTT. To win big, you have to win races or suck out a few times.

indeed, every one gets his fair share in the long term.
i busted AA again yesterday with my shameless 77, while in another one, my
flopped 33 set (lord, i only played 8 small pairs last night, but got 6 sets
) ran into JJ set. this is the 2nd time i ever had this.
other ppl were talking about my good hollywood acting (like an easy call for
them), while i was laughing, on a Js9s3d flop, how could this old weak man:
1) call a $12 preflop bet without position with J9, suited or not?
2) then hit this 2 pair flop and check raise?
3) and yet bet strong again on almost blank turn?
......
with his weakish style, he wouldn't even play QQ like this. KK/AA, he'd re-
pop the aggressor preflop, drawing hands? he never had the guts to do this.
luckily it's "only" a $161 ($12+30+40+79) hand for me, lol.

开学前玩得有点疯 刚刚又去打了一个220 buy-in 大概370 entrants.... 19名出来...

瓶颈啊瓶颈啊
今天开始打得还是很有耐心 刚开始的时候TPTK碰到了bottom set, discipline
laydown后损失了近50%的starting stack.... 不久AA让我回到starting stack，然后
打得也很solid，Bluff/pay position之类的 没碰到race 也进了钱圈,但是stack还是
有限(这个时候我就开始忍不住了) 想及时chip-up 进了几个不该进的pot.....最后又
是a little bit less than average. SB called a short-stack AK (Button-1) all
in with KJ suited. 我当时就默念不要call不要call 最后还是冲动战胜了理性.....
Last hand, AJ on the button, middle position open-reraised 3BBs....我当时就
预感肯定是behind 但是冲动又战胜了理性(想反正也是short-stack).....AJ
最后连director和cash的小秘看到都一脸遗憾....这家伙怎么每次都倒在10几名....还
安慰了我几句....
