d******u 发帖数: 142 | 1 tournament final table... 9 ppl remaining
blind is 2k/4k + ante 300
I have 90k chip in 4th.
all fold to me at button and I have AJ offsuit.
I raise to 9k and BB (2nd with 140k chip) raise me all in almost instantly.
The table just started so no read at this stage. I raised twice in the last
8-9 hands already and no showdown.
chip count roughly
1st 230k
2nd 140k
3rd 100k
4th 90k
5-8th 80k-50k
9th 20k
Should I call or not? |

something he thinks he is way ahead. |

AJo is such a trash hand without read. do you believe he pushed you with AT/
A9 or 88?

d******u 发帖数: 142 | 4 I actually called and lost to 88 in a coin flip. It is an easy fold in cash
game. The question is, if assuming the probability of being dominated and
blind defending with weaker hand cancels out, whether it is worth going into
a known coin flip at this stage of tournament.
the downside of being eliminated vs upside of 2nd in chip count (almost 2x
of 3rd one) and image of not willing to be bluffed?
The prize structure
1st 3,500
...
5st around 800
...
9th 375

resteal也算是over play了。
15860 | 6 22bb is too deep for such an at best coin flip situation, even against blind
defenders i guess.
88 or A9s alike is at the bottom of their ranges (since they don't know you
well either). they could easily turn over AQ or JJ+, and you will be way
behind.
cash
into

142 | 10 make sense. maybe I have too much ego and try too hard not to be overplayed
here.
one more hand..
online, heads-up
I have 400k vs 700k, blind 12k-25k + 2.5k ante
Dealt AcKd, raise to 50k, getting called.
Flop Kc8c2c...
Opp lead 50k bet, I call.
turn and river blank.
Opp bet three streets and I just called.
turns out he has a made flush and I am crippled.
Question:
At the flop, call or raise? which one is a better play in HU case? I will
raise if there is no flush draw. This one I am not very sure. of course it
does not change the result.

p******e 发帖数: 327 | 11 I'll definitely raise on flop.
If my ace is not a club, I'll probably call the flop and call/fold on turn
depends on his move.
