发帖数: 1128 | 1 昨天打了个225 buy-in的bounty tournament，总共357个人。knock out 一个人得100
刀。我拿了个26名，knock out了4个半人（和别人chop了一个）。虽然26，但钱才268
刀，还好有bounty的钱来弥补一下我7个小时的苦劳。这是我vegas回来后玩得第2个
tournament。上次也是玩的这个，也是拿了300的bounty才把本钱保住了。加上vegas的
几次tournament经验，我发现打tournament最大的问题就是不能犯大错误。典型的一次
错误，全盘皆输。就说说我这两次吧。上次tournament我也是前面玩得很好，stack一
大把，最后因为想拿那个人的bounty，玩了一些不该玩的牌，最后死得很惨。这次我吸
取教训，打之前告诉自己绝不让bounty来影响我的decision，结果一路稳扎稳打到剩20
多个人的时候，我的stack也是桌上第2多的，然后又犯了一个关键错误，一下变成
short stack，后来也没什么耐心了，而且也知道blind 这么大，又有ante，不double

一般来说USTA NTRP Tournament比同级的USTA League水平差些，因为有相对多点的人
play up。但到了Open就很难说了。好的Open 会有当打的Div I参加。差一点的可能5.0
-都能拿冠军。
USTA Tournament之间质量也是参差不齐。最简单的办法就是看它历史上拿冠军人的水
平。另一个就是看参赛人数。一般少于8人的NTRP签表质量较难保证。16人的NTRP签表
较常见。超过32人的NTRP签表基本就是水平很高的比赛了。Open参赛人多时主签表外还
要有Qualify的签表。
如果第一次打Tournament，最好参加有consolation的比赛，这样保证至少两场球。因
为第一次参赛有可能开始就遇到很强的对手，容易一轮游。一般Tournament只给你5-10
分钟正式热身，最好提前30-40分钟自己热身是有必要的。
每个Tournament都有自己的特点。有的提供免费水，吃的，有的提供按摩服务。冠军奖
也各有不同。大多数给个杯子，以示杯具。有的就给张奖状。还有的直接给现金（还就

Well, the tournament I played has the worst structure ever, which I didn't know since it was my first time tournament play over there. 92 entrants last night. I played very aggressively. championship tournament更夸张，1000多点的buy-in，第一名竟然有20多万，不过是
在八月份，我看我是玩不到了。连昨天的什么PLO tournament都有快80人，一般的NLH
tournament至少都有100多人。
tournament真的是不容许犯大错误，不像cash game.昨天我玩cash game的时候犯了两
个非常大的错误，一次bluff 掉300，另一次bluff掉160，但最后还是赢钱了。但
tournament就不行，你要short stack那后期基本就死定了，blinds 和ante把你eat
alive.不过我昨天碰上一个和我前天一个桌上玩tournament的小伙，聊了一下，他拿了
个11名，是他把我80％的chips赢走的，而且他打得很好，所以想着他应该大丰收了，
谁知他告诉我第11名和我的钱差不多，就多了个几十块，我说怎么会，第10名有1500多
，他说就因为是这样，他们争这个第10名就争了2个多小时，他气得要命。听他说完，

玩tournament，说我如果玩的话应该会是个很好的tournament player，听着还是很高
兴的。以前一直认为cash game是我的强项，但现在想想也未必，因为我如果把投入到
cash game的时间和精力投入到tournament里，估计战绩有可能会好很多，虽然现在的
也还不错。但是tournament唯一的不好就是时间太长，一个tournament下来至少8，9个
小时，所以很多时候没这么长的时间available,也没这个精力打这么长，而且还很可能
一天白费。所以我一般都玩那种大一点的tournament,一旦hit到很划算，小的就算了。
但这个星期我准备多玩几个积累经验。 |

This is not High School rules, these are basically tournaments rules being
adopted everywhere for any tournaments that have many games needed to play
continually in 1 day.
Using running clock instead of a stop clock here is apparently the most
important one. The major reason of taking this rule is to control the
tournament schedule on time. I guess you could image if stopping the clock
too many times in so many games, the last game could be easily many hours

* player can create id in this system.

每年的Tournament Payout基于每个联盟参加Tournament的队数和
获胜场次数。每个进入65强的球队记作一个unit,每场Tournament
的获胜也记作一个unit.每个unit的payout逐年增加，今年是
$152,000，明年和后年将分别是$160,000和$170,000。每年的Tourney
payout从下一年开始支付给各conference。分6年付清。所以，拿
ACC为例，共有5支队参加，目前为止，NC,Duke,NC State胜２场，
GT, Wake胜１场，共８场，１３个unit,总共13*$152,000=$ 2million.
即便NC,Duke,NC State全输，从明年开始到2011年，ACC每年可以
从今年的Tourney中获得$2 million.然而，每年每个联盟实得的钱
数实际上是前６年参加Tournament累积的。所以，今年ACC的Tournament earning实
际上是$9.8 million.一些比较：

在参加老中的杯赛增进老中间的兄弟感情的基础上，你们有没有参加地区tournament的
欲望？
我以前踢球的league每年夏天都参加附近外州搞的tournament,当然好像是邀请，不知
道是不是真的。也就一个周末／假期的事情。
我本人没经验，这里有leadership的比较多，能不能把各地区老中组织一下参加各地老
美的tournament？ie ivy的U15啥的联合cornell／mit的牛人组个队参加new england
tournament啥的，那多好玩呀，还能增进不同学校／单位老中的横向互动，还能泡白妞
（这个是次要的，砍。。。。。），很爽
感觉索男只有这样才能强行打入红脖主流。改变一些老中都是nerd的形象。
中部红脖地区谁有这个想法的我就去try out一下凑个数去

。原因：只有hardcore
player 才肯花上整个周末和一赛季相同的钱数参加tournament, 水平差的深知自己过
不了第一二轮；即便过了也
未必够体力打semi and final. 而且tournament经常见到跨州的高手不远百迈奔来参加

今天参加了当地的一个华人组办的一个Tennis Tournament。Tournament按照年龄分为小于
40岁一组和40岁以下Group。俺在40+ Group，今天进行的是Singles only。下周六再继续同
样俺年龄分成两组的Doubles。整个Tournament是open to everybody。
俺在40+ Group共有16人参赛。4个人一个小组，共4个小组，每小组的前2名出现，然后
继续交叉淘汰1/4决赛，然后1/2决赛，最后决赛。
每个match是best 4 games out of 7 - whoever first wins the 4th
game， win the match。If 3:3 tie，then regular tiebreaker。
这是我今天Singles Tournament的成绩：
小组俺以4:1, 4:1，和4:0，排名第一的成绩，进入到小一轮的1/4决赛.
在1/4决赛，俺以4:0击败对手，进入到下一轮的1/2决赛。

人，所以只有两个人第一轮有比赛，其他人都轮空。我就是那个悲摧的第一轮没轮空的
话说三天前还在板上跟人灌水抬杠tournament算不算分，我们这有没有sactioned usta
tournament，猛抬头发现我搜出来的附近的tounament顶上就写着呢，sactioned by

但是周五，那的人给我打电话，说我是唯一一个3.0的，问我要退钱还是要play up

一看draw，尼玛我今天8点一场，如果过关没被淘汰第二场是11点。
今早早早就起来了，赶到赛场，尼玛比我家那热好多啊，早上就已经开始热得够呛了
对方是个比较athletic的老黑，一看，左撇子，我心里一凉，要有鏖战了。

刚刚被bad beat了，也上来发发牢骚。 FTOP event 10， AA被TT out drawn on river

离钱圈很近了，216刀就这么打水漂，将近两个小时的时间也白花了，是不是很
frustrated？
现在对这种bad beat已经麻木了。毕竟tournament是以小博大,所以更多的时候是让人
frustrated，然后偶尔给你一个big big excitement。所以打tournament还是不能太看
重结果，要有点游戏人生的态度，别把钱太当回事。要不然总想着第一名多少多少钱，
第二名会差多少多少钱，这样会影响自己打牌的决策。

，但水平却在不断提高中。我参加过最初的几届，就没再去了，直到今年又和俱乐部的
几个球友一起前往。总的说来，ISU Tournament规模不算大，参加人数基本在一百出头
些。每年大概三或四月间，本州和附近州（明尼苏达，内布拉斯加，密苏里）的羽毛球
爱好者集聚一起，进行为期两天的比赛。偶尔也有来自远方的像伊利诺伊、威斯康星，
甚至德克萨斯的球迷。参赛人中学生差不多占了近一半。
记得第一次参加ISU Tournament是他们刚开始的第二年，因为搭档---一个马来西亚人
的老婆在那里上学，就接到了邀请。因为人数不多，赛制采用round robin。最后关键
一战输给ISU的对子。这对搭档中一个曾经在英国郡队打过球，另一个是来自台湾的访
问学者，两人都很老道，技术全面，我和搭档尽了全力，就是打不过，获得了亚军。混
双命运也差不多，输的对手中也有一个来自台湾的女生，据说经过专业训练，最后又拿

USTA League/Tournament是很好的提高网球竞技水平的平台。
USTA有很多League，每个League都有自己的特点。一个League season可以短到3个月，
长到10个月。一个season一般至少可以打6场比赛。大多数League需要参加一个team才
能打，成绩也是以team总成绩为主。好处是能有一帮队友一起有共同目标，训练，比赛
，加油，就像play for school/college。因为USTA有自己的动态rating system, 对水
平定位客观。坏处是时间上的commitment要求较高，比赛压力大（队友都看着呢）。而
且赛季很长。相比自己打野球，有一些额外的分子钱（social，court, gas, coach开销）。
USTA Tournament 比League多多了。不过一般都是挂个USTA的名字，就像KFC似的。时
间上也短多了。一般就一周，很少有超过两周的。大多数比赛是淘汰赛，输一轮就出局

过来参加。
其实我们这里比较高的是junior的tournament，真是有高水平的孩子大老远过来。
女子的比league要低，比如我们这里很多3.5就去参加4.0的tournament，很多3.0的参
加3.5的tournament。原因我想是因为，很多水平不高，平时没有足够球打的人，正好
趁机出来hang out。 |

来静养。还是周末早上去打球，TE是没有好转也没有恶化。
上周，我那个越南籍的Doubles partner又来邀请我出去同他一起打USTA 4.0 Doubles
Tournament。虽然我考虑到了自己的TE，但还是答应他，9月份的第一个周末会出去同
他参加在Houston地区的一个USTA 4.0 Doubles Tournament。

is unlikely to call it. I win the pot, but it does not maximize my ev in
terms of chips. If I bet gradually, i maximize ev but running the risk of
him calling without odds but suck out on me and kick me out of the
tournament. Cash game is easy, because I just need to maximize my chips (
cash) and I can rebuy all the time. But in tournament, maximizing chip ev

$800 is not a bad deal at all, i guess if you back down a little to $900, it
's already a deal, hehe.
also, these $60 tourneys are normally bad becasue you're very likely paying
$20 or so in entry fee. 92 ppl could easily take 3+ hours too.

发帖数: 122 | 41 FTP里面可以打2700人的FREEROLL，前27名有钱。或者打500K的TOURNAMENT，前18名有
钱。貌似后面这个简单一点。
如何搞到500K呢，可以打10K，100K TOURNAMENT。最高的好像还有1M TOURNAMENT。
打RING GAME我是很差的，从来没有赢过，不推荐。我感觉要打1K/2K的 RING GAME, 手
上要有2M CHIPS了去打可能好一点。几百K的很快就输光了。
拿到真钱以后再去打REAL MONEY的TOURNAMENT。FTP上有个PRO 花了一两年的时间从0打到10K USD。

打final table, 使诈就比较多了，踢人出局基本都是靠all in, 基本打几把就有人all
in, 你得分辨是使诈还是真的有牌， 猜牌就非常重要了。
职业选手不是靠赌场打现金赚钱，而是靠打tournament赢奖金,当然他们主要打的都是
大tournament, 打现金乱打的很多，一个桌子有那么几个赌徒啥牌都call就非常难打. |

发帖数: 1397 | 43 昨天晚上去Horseshoe喝酒玩牌，先玩Mississippi Stud和Play 3 Cards，一直不来牌
。这种纯运气的游戏就是要输输赢赢才有意思，一直不赢就没劲了。输了五六百还一次
好牌都不来我没兴趣玩了。我ling着酒瓶晃进了poker room. 自从我几年前戒了online
poker之后我很少进poker room，去赌场一般就是在外面玩些纯运气的游戏，一边喝酒
一边跟dealer聊天玩。昨天玩别的一直光输不赢实在没劲了，就想起老本行，想赢一下
提高点兴致，顺便也贴补家用。
进了poker room之后发现有个$120 buy-in bounty tournament正在进行，本来我都在
cash table坐下来了，但看着那些人我又心痒痒了，把他们一个一个都干死多爽啊！而
且我从来没打过live tournament，我觉得很有必要体验一次，于是我就加进了战团。
2009年戒了online poker之后就没打过比赛了，一晃四年了，我想证明自己宝刀未老.
一共21个人，三个小时后还剩下一个老白，一个老黑和我。筹码大概31000，40000和
