p****r 发帖数: 9164 | 1 it was 5/10 NL game at Rio during WSOP. I had around 2k$ stack. A
passive player limped in UTG and I limped in with QTs as well. SB raised to
like 60 or 70, passive UTG called, I called as well. flop comes J 9 blank
rainbow, SB checked, UTG checked, I checked as well. Turn is the king, gave
me the nuts. SB bet, UTG raised, I reraised to 1000$+ , SB thought for while
and folded, UTG called with KJ. He had about 1k$ left and river was a K. So
I paid off him about 1k and had about 800$+ left.
I usually just put additional cash on the table have at least 1.5k
stack.but the table was talking about the previous hand and I somewhat
forgot to take additional cash out. Then I was dealt QQ right next hand
early postion. I raised to 100 (there was a straggle, so 5x raise). A
tight/straightforward Asian guy next to me snap called and everyelse folded.
The flop comes 8 blank blank. I thougt if he has AK,AQ, he is not
going to call any big bet on the flop. If he hit a set, for my stack, I may
have to pay him off since I have 700$ something left and a bet on the flop
would make me committed. Very unlikely he had AA or KK based on this play
style. At the time, the whole table were thinking that I was on tilt after
a bad beat. He may put me on total air paid me off with 99-JJ, even smaller
pair less than 8. so I just overshoved on the flop, bet 700$+ into a 230$
pot since he may think I was on tilt and make a hero call.
He thought quite a while and kept talking "why so much, I can beat the
board". After a while he called. I turned over QQ and he said that was
good. Turn/river did not help him.
For 5/10 game, it was not big pot at all, but that was an impressive
one to me. I used my tilting image to get paid.

So
Shoving on the flop with QQ was a very good play there. People who play high
limits are usually thinking players. That over bet did look like a bluff.
However, if it was a 1-3 NL game, then I think a lot of people would not
call your bet because most of 1-3 NL players are not that high level yet.
