my exmaple is not simple enough? hehe.
you 9 ppl play this SNG using 1800 points/each, it's like FTP puts in 9*9=$
81 real money, whoever wins/loses doesn't make a diff. to FTP, they lose
this $81 in revenues, of course they'll find some way to get it back, and
this some way is from rakeback on EACH of you.
same for you withdrawing $ (e-check or check or whatever method) from FTP,
it looks "free" without any fees to you, but it's NOT free for FTP. they have
to pay middle processors processing fees. how do they digest this cost?
from rakeback again, of course.

The winner get FTP points for sure. AND rackback on the FTP points ??

my exmaple was 1800points, 9ppl SNG, the winner gets $81 (real money).
everyone (including winner) loses 1800 points worth in rakeback.
you're talking about 1800points, 9ppl SNG, the winner gets 1800*9=
16200points, right? the initial 1800points will hurt your rakeback for sure,
just like my case.
as for the 16200points you won? i don't know what'd happen if you use them (
for another tournament or buying stuff), but my guess would be you'll STILL
lose more rakeback. because i doubt FTP's system can really track down which
points are "rakeback" taken or not when you use them.

1) FTP SNG/MTT is even gain, no +EV
2) FTP takes the rackback on the FTP buyin.

for example, happy hour bonus points are not counted in your daily ironman
points (the real earned points, or "core" points as i call them), but they'
re included in your total FTP points, so there must already be something
like "point type" in their database to differentiate them. it won't be hard
at all for them to add another point type, "rake taken".
your total points will be sum of them.
the real fun part should be when you use them, the system should be smart
enough to use "rake taken" points first before using other types of points,
or, FTP is evil and tries the other way, hehe, or even worse, doesn't do
this at all.
