i raise 3$ button (button is short stack with 50$) calls.
flop AK3 rainbow, (pot 6.50$)
i c bet 4.60$
button calls
turn is 5 (pot 17$)
I check button check
river is a J button have 43$ left.
What do i do here? button is clearly a fish...
check; bet small; pot; or all in? |

发帖数: 124 | 2 Given that button is a fish and most fish are passive calling stations
when they have a pair, I think maybe a pot sized bet is good? It is hard
for a passive fish to call an all in with just a pair. And passive fish
rarely raise you when you bet small.
But I am not quite following your c-bet on the flop. No worse hand will
call you and no better hand will fold. What are you representing here?

dont go all in unless I have the nuts. I'm not sure whether it is + or - EV.
I have this rule set in place because I keep paying peopel off.
also there is a chance that the button simply loves draws and floated a cbet
with Q10.

发帖数: 124 | 5 I will never fold to an all in bet here. Consider the following cases:
AA or KK: not likely. Even a passive fish will become aggressive
preflop,flop and turn.
Q10: it fits all characters of a fish on this hand if he moves all in on
river. However, it is only a small fraction of the possible hands he is
holding, i.e., two pairs, A*, K*, all these hands will pay your value bet
off but will probably fold to your shove.
Just my two cents.

lets think about what button may have.
to simplfy things. small pairs for set mine are out since it doesn't pay to
set mine with half stack. AJs, KJs, QJs are out since you have three Js.
So what's left.
chances for AA, KK are small maybe since button flat called pre flop, button
may slow play AA, KK by smooth calling. AA more likely than KK.
all AKs. QQ. suited Q10 maybe. there is $17 in the pot. a value bet of

If i bet/call is it better to just all in river?
I look bluffy. He might call with his top pair since he is a fish (fish do not like to be bluffed) if i am not folding from a better hand, is it better to get full value from worse hand? I somehow feel that the chance of him calling a PSB and a all in bet is not very much different. |

actually bet 2/3 pot and fold to an all in raise is not bad at all..
based on our discussion I feel
bet/fold>=all in>bet/call
That equal sign is for those hand that he does call with his top pair which i think he will if he has A10 A9 type of hand. a passive fish just can't lay down a top pair type of hand because he does not like to be bluffed. |

call you with a lot of hand you could beat. Slow play AA/KK is possible for
fish, but not likely. As played, I will take it as cooler and take note on
this guy as gut shot chaser.
