My friend won 400th ( 36K)from WSOP in his 1st time playing. He is just a
common guy as you and me. as he said, everyone can profit consistantly from
poker if you put enough time to study it and experience it.
Pro is not far from common person, for a game can be learn in 5 mints, they
don't need to have PHD or very deep background, what they need is experience
, logic skill and basic math knowledge.
But why most people still lost in |

好比买彩票,一般人是中$10也行,$100也行,$1000也行.只要有赚就行.自己还有份工,有
另外事业.
melonli是一定要中大奖,million or so.把这当成唯一事业.所以别人可能这一辈子赢
个几十K,几百K他是要就不赢,要赢就是millions.
这就是所谓"serious"吧?
当然poker和彩票还是有很大区别.一个光是运气,一个除运气还讲技术.

this Saturday. More and more Chinese people are playing poker.
I played in most of the casinos here in Vegas almost everyday last several
month and have pretty good income. You have far more less experience in this
field than I am because I always play with pros and get enough respect from

MIT BBS, where are you when I am writing down the interesting hands here.
By the way, I play everyday for 4 years( only very few days out), did you do
that?

is a ok record.
But if you play higher limit ( mine is NL200) , 20$ is too low. |

It really depends. I know some player begin to make good profit after one
year's play, some of them still lose after play 9 years. I didn't learn and
play much time, and I can only make about $100-$200 after work each day if I
go to the casino. Most of time it takes half hour to one and half hour. But
this is just a small amount for those good professionals. At least I know
two guys they make hundreds of thousand each year by Poker star (Chinese). I
don't know what is their skill or I wil

如果你live game打得多你就不会问这个问题。好的pro都是shift casino的。vegas
strip得casino,每一家每周最多去2次，也就是大部分时间，一个桌子上最多有3到4个
真正的本地pro。其他一些pro，外面来的，或者是游客（水平差一些）。真正赚钱，都
是赚这些人的钱。认识的pro之间自然也会bet，比如我raise你15，你还要跟，我就来
大的了。有一个warning过程，对外面的，不讲这些的。

live to get a reasonably reliable hourly rate. I have a higher hourly rate
than 35$(and I only play 6/12 or 8/16 so far), but since the sample size is
still too small, I won't say it here. Hopefuly I can keep up my hourly rate.
For me, the key to profit is to play against weak players.
