Without money from either, there will be many nations which will stick by
Taiwan. US has done that. Japan has done that. Europe has done that, to a
lesser extent. There is something called ideology. Then there is economy.
And geopolitis, also.

誰要同你dual了,那還不如直接承認臺灣獨立呢,做夢也要現實點。
US,JP,EU都同大陸維持外交關系,或承認,或認知,大陸臺灣同屬一個中國。
‘鼻屎’大的國家當然也可以仿效了,這樣既承認PRC,又‘挺’taiwan啊。

in 1970s when China signed those documents. There is no need fo rus to
debate that word, as the reality is clear.
I can't speak for Taiwan but your last sentence is not bad. On hte other
hand, if there is diplomatic truce, China is supposed to turn down offer
from Taiwan's "friends" to switch. So the premises of the last sentence will
not exist.
