名字叫陈正柏，男，现年约八十多岁。老家是重庆市巴县白市驿石板乡梅乐寺夜合湾的；
于解放前夕跟随部队离开大陆到台湾，当时约二十多岁，走时给他三哥（当时教书的）
留了封信，
据说后到美国定居。听说在70年左右的美国之音报道上提到过他（陈正柏）的名字。
陈正柏早年（年青时）在黄浦军校学习过（可能是最后几期），后参加了青年军。
陈正柏在家排行第五，其大哥陈正如（号公恒）、二哥陈正颖 、三哥陈正仿等都先后
过逝了。现在
老家还有其大哥陈正如的儿子（陈锡永、陈锡岳）和女儿（陈锡铃、陈锡君）等亲人在，

type Chinese.
Well, you have too many uncertainty. Even if he came to US, you did not know
his English name, not to mention if he is alive.
Alligator suggested 陆军官校, which is useful only if he attended the
academy. However, most veterans were just soldiers, cooks, etc. I doubt the
academy would be useful.
My suggestion to you is to find record of this guy in TAIWAN, for you don't
even know if he came to US.

is this. Many mainlanders came to Taiwan and changed their names, or changed
their names and came to Taiwan. They did not tell others. But a few close
ones I knew acknowledged that in private moments. One said his officer
wanted it, because it was said that in China, a subordinate could not share
the same given name--even just one character--with his superior. Another did
