Actually, in the past week, VIX/TVIX held well while index climbed decent
points, showing bear market emotion.

That may not be bear emotion. Simply because it is very cheap to buy for
protection. It’s a misnomer to call VIX "fear index". Be careful when the
majority gets used to 1500/14000...
