从South Colony Lake回来，觉得今夏的爬山计划已基本完成，准备专心看奥运了。正
当中美金牌大战进行得如火如荼的时候，好久不联系的山友W忽然给我发了条短信，说
他所有class 4的14er里只剩一个Little Bear了，找不到人同去，问我有没有胆子舍命
陪君子。
看到短信我愣了许久，Little Bear，Little Bear……这个绕不过去的家伙，终于还是
来了。两年前，曾和我一起爬过山的小朋友Kevin Hayne在Little Bear不幸遇难。

consider Al Gore irrelevant. You will recall that including polar bears on
endangered species lists has been an topic of much debate. I believe they
currently are listed as an endangered species because of the immanent threat
of global warming climate change. If only the polar bears were listening.

我从来没见过一个狗可以如此热情的mark，每次出门，他可以五步一小尿，10步一大尿
，基本上这附近的树、消防栓，都被他mark过了。。。我得特别注意别让他mark在别人
前院，所以我带他出去，走得是另外一条路，可以迅速的离开邻居们的前院。

我自以为也见过狗吠了，Sieben就是个大嗓门，吼起来有点震撼的。Bear的那个bark，
简直就是震耳欲聋，他的声音可以很低沉，也可以很高亢。每次出门之前他都要叫好久。
每次我打开后门让他或者Sieben去后院，Sieben经常吼叫着冲出去，为了和一只松鼠叫
板；Bear则是冲着门叫，如果5分钟不呼唤他回来，他就开始在门口冲着屋子里叫，就
是要回来，不肯呆在后院。
力气
Bear很大只，130LBS，现在减了点了，估计120-125之间吧。他的力气非常大，而且有
股倔强的脾气。我家男人从来没被Sieben拉到过的：我那天目送他们出门，每次出门都
是个大工程，因为Bear总是很激动。然后我就看到Bear出现在我车子这边，还蹦蹦跳跳

over $100 a night. if u wanna to save money, you can search around, there
are cities around sleeping bear dunes that have much lower hotel rate. The
other option is to camp. The campsite costs like 20 bucks per night,

发帖数: 13 | 29 前两天买了06年Corolla,90000迈，内外干净，美国白MM用，按照坛子里的验车方法检
查一遍，没有什么大问题，只是听到有右前轮方向传来的奇怪声响，不注意听不到。论
坛的验车教程里似乎没有提到这个（更可能是我没仔细看），觉得大不了修一下，而且
老婆也很喜欢这个车，就“果断”下手（按fair的价格高200），也没去车铺做什么检
查，怕有人抢了，车主说engine和power train有十年十万迈的延长保修，更加放心了。
回来开了一段时间，整体不错，但是那个声音却越来越让人烦躁。它是从35mile以后才
开始出现，上了高速以后又不明显了。图个放心就去dealer那里做检查，92刀检查费也
认了。检查结果是需要换左前轮的wheel bearing以及其他刹车什么的，当时就纳闷自
己明明听到的方向是右边。更换这个wheel bearing 的价格是部件43，人工190，为了
以后省心一咬牙忍了。换完之后开出去发现声音还有，而且从25mile开始就有，开回去
，载上技师一起听。然后又回车场再检查，技师曰应该是右前轮wheel bearing也松了

没来得及预订lift ticket和雪具rental。
周六去的，天气很好。进山的路上渐渐看到残雪，车子一路蜿蜒爬坡，
山谷背阴处的积雪还没化，绿色的松杉象插在白色奶油蛋糕上的小蜡烛，
齐齐整整地排列着。一路注意着车上的温度计，到了big bear了也不过
5~7度左右，比想象的要暖和些。路上见到穿短袖的，
还有一个穿无袖衫的墨西哥mm。很是敬仰。
到得big bear市区，手机的信号总算回来了，big bear blvd两侧有许多
卖精品的小店，它们橱窗的摆设比店里货品更吸引人。路上来来往往的有不少人，
想来许多是来这度长假的，
城市是依湖而建的，走没多远就来到湖边，只是湖的一角吧。
湖面上有些地方结着一层薄冰。风景倒不见的多美，加州另一个大湖--Lake Tahoe
还无缘造访，这个湖比起Oregon的crater Lake是逊色一筹。
crate lake湖水深邃，碧蓝纯净，环湖是静静的群山，是似有神灵居住之所。
big bear是离LA最近的一个大湖是都市中人暂时远离城市喧嚣的一个好去处。

一次，毕竟那是传说中michigan最好的skiing resort. 虽然我小戴热心，但隔三差五
的总组织活动，我也有点吃不消。所以，所以这次去北边滑雪我就私下找了我认识的1
男2女，然后算上我，4个人开1辆车过去。可是让我没想到的是在21世纪北美的密西根

康。
有个很大的科研做了15年的随访，对象是13岁到27岁正常体重的人，运动为Weight
Bearing， 这些人在27岁的时候骨密度是最好的。 另外一个很大的Study是在264个孩
子中做的（9到18岁）， 影响骨密度的因子包括不抽烟，维持良好的体重，和运动。当
然运动预防肥胖一定程度上也预防了肥胖对高度的不良影响。 过度的Weight bearing
运动对于女性来说会影响月经周期，并且对骨骼发育有不良影响。当然我相信运动总的
来说不管哪种运动，一定程度上预防肥胖，喜欢运动的人注意整体健康所以营养状况也
好，这个整体效果对长高应该是有积极影响的。
另外对于学龄孩子来说， 科研没证实补钙片促进了骨骼健康，所以目前还是推荐发育
中的孩子以吃奶制品和其他高钙食品促进骨骼健康。9-18岁的孩子，如果每天钙摄入低
于600毫克，还是建议补钙（没有办法的办法）。同时要有足够的Vitmin D的摄入保证
钙的吸收。

最近频出状况。。
昨天在家玩wii bear就在我旁边待着看我。。
我一挥手，指头狠狠磕在bear的牙上了。。。顿时鲜血如注。。。右手食指指甲旁边半
块肉差点就掉了。。。
我惨叫一声。。bear也吓坏了。。以为他做了什么坏事。。一溜烟就跑厨房桌子下面躲
起来。。。
等包扎好，bear童鞋好像还没缓过劲来。。又在桌子下面待了好长时间才出来。。汗。。

找黑心铺子repack好几次了，过一段时间又松了
上次去rotate轮胎，自己用手晃了晃，轮子摆动都有快15-30度了
所以觉得DIY了，不能怕麻烦，还是得自己干。
手册上写着wheel bearing 得30k mile serive一次
估计是以前的车主没怎么理会，所以wheel bearing 已经废了
这次决定换了 上rockauto买的bearing 126$ 4个带2 seal
而且我已经专门检查过alignment了，而且又给黑心铺子还给我换了一个arm link
没办法，先把wheel bearing换了再说。而且好像SUV换wheel bearing也很平常阿 |

这两天，因为Eric Carle的系列儿童书，和Perry的儿童心理学的书跟了不少贴。再发
个贴把这两者联系起来说说。
我一进书店图书馆的儿童部，我就觉得这里的孩子好幸福，有这么多优质的书可以看。
大家不要小看象是Lazystone（鼓掌，献花）帖子中的说的这些书。虽然看起来很简单
，实际上非常用心的。
比如说Brow Bear是教孩子farm animal+颜色的，下一本polar bear是教孩子zoo
animal+动物叫声，第三本是教孩子稀有动物+动物动作+环保意识的， 第四本是教孩子
原生动物+动物动作+亲子关系的。
多少父母能这么系统的教孩子这4本书中蕴含的内容还不重样的？
