High open interests in the metal market especially the one in silver
are driving PET nuts so they have to attack to trigger some stops.
I'm surprised they have not thrown out a margin call yet.

Why does PET try so hard to smack down gold/silver? in other words, what
danger does gold/silver pose to PET or whoever in charge of PET? and really
who controls PET?

PET is controlled by USGovt and Fed. They use Wall St. banks to run
the raid. High metal price would erode people's confidence in US$
so USGovt and Fed cannot stand it.
W/ mega QE coming in 2013 and an imminent debt crisis, they don't
want metals to fly high in the sky so here comes the raid.

It is but you have to have the guts to hold it. Raid like today will
be with this market all the time. Look at the GLD chart in Dec 2011.
They always rig it hard enough to scare the average folks away.

really a good way to counter the future US$/fiat money crisis? I know PM is
in the past decade. But looking forward, when the situation gets extreme, I
see risk increases for the PM owners.

That's why your metals should be stored outside of US. I expect USA
to collapse once US$ is gone so you don't want to be here anyway.

to think that when there will be a crisis, it is on a global scale. Just
look at every where in the world the trend is the same. Some places may be
better but not necessarily better for Chinese.
