initial jobless claims. According to Briefing.com, economists are
expecting claims to rise to 445,000 in the week ended July 17, from last
week's level of 429,000.
At 9:30 a.m. ET, Bernanke will give a second day of testimony on the
semiannual monetary policy report, this time, before the House Committee
on Financial Services.
