标 题: Can I provide consulting service to my previous employer with an H1B visa? Please help~

I will leave my current employer soon but there are still some continuous
work that they need me to help with. Today they ask me to sign a consulting
agreement that they will pay me hourly in the future in case they need my
help. I'm holding an H1B visa and there is no conflicting interests between
my current employer and my future employer. Is it legal?

发帖数: 181 | 2 Since you are holding H1b, you'd better ask them to file a part time H1b for
you. Otherwise you can not provide any service to them. It is not legal.
For you safety, you may just do some work for them as volunteer. Please make
things easy and simple before you get GC.

be fine, just like he did some tutoring working when he was on H1B. |
