i booked a room in "extended stay america" in sandy, which is not far from
the two cottonwood canyons, and within walking distance from canyon sports and
0.5 mile to costco(where you get discount lift tickets). booking from
travelocity looks getting best rate. room comes with kitchen and have
discount for staying longer than 7 days as low as $48 for a studio and $68
for a one bedroom suite for 3 persons.
if you are thinking about taking a ski vacation in slc this holiday season,
we may figure out some skiing together on "the greatest snow on earth" and
join some of the mitbbs slc local skiers if they are available for skiing,
which i believe so:) if will be great if you book room in the same hotel but
if not we may meet in ski area. book early to get the slot and the policy is CANCEL BY 6PM of the arriving day LOCAL PROPERTY TIME TO AVOID PENALTIES.
except the 4 resorts in cottonwood canyons i am interested with driving
extra 1.5hr up and ski in snowbasin and powder mountain if the condition is preferred for un-tracked powder skiing to avoid the crowds in the cottonwood canyons. |

out during christmas and new year anyway so i want to be there and see my
luck.
on last year there was one major storm during that period but before the
storm the condition was bad on the 1st a few days.

out between Christmas and New Year's. We did SLC last year around the same
time, skiing at Alta, Snowbird and Solitude. We may try Park City, Deer
Valley and Canyons if we can make the trip. |

I am very interested. Have never been to slc. I can take off during 12/24 to
1/1/2011. I will drive from LA, and my car can take two other guys if there
are guys who want to join in LA area.
BTW, what rate did you get for you hotel? |
